This mod aims to update much of the 2004 Axis and Allies RTS game to modern day warfare. A new campaign is planned along with a new WW2 mode, and current nations to be involved include China, Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, EU, and many other countries. Infantry and naval combat are being entirely reworked, as is the game economy.
Managed to take a picture of me and the friendly Russian AI bombing Wavell AI into oblivion in a custom game. I had actually gone in to test the new engineer AI (repairing builds is 4x as important, so engineers won't just sit around anymore as you bomb their base to hell. This was something that always bothered me.) Sadly for Wavell the enemy engineers were taking huge collateral morale damage in the forest, which hindered their movement considerably and detracted from their usefulness.
(Note the Eurofighter has several upgrades - there are a host of new technologies available for the airfield, ranging from helmet-integrated interfaces and stealth technology.)
Looking good!
are these fully independent engineer regiments recruited like regular regiments? or does this use a summoning feature like Kohan II (where the engineers were denizens that spawned when buildings suffered damage).
I've been tempted to add an engineer denizen component to the Corps HQ so that it can repair itself after a major attack just like in Kohan II.
however, if engineer regiments can be motivated to repair friendly damage that's even better.
These are like regular regiments. It may be possible to add engineer denizens, but I personally think it would unbalance the game a bit. However, the AI now has a huge priority for repairing friendly structures.
