From the creator of the Arctic Incident - it says a lot.
Top quality mapping, good storyline, interesting locations. It's a mod that makes a valuable addition to Half-Life series!
Very controversial game: it is the first to introduce the amazing FaceGen technology (although in a somewhat crippled way), weather system, havok physics and much much more. The downsides are the limitations of equipment, poor visual and audial effects and just terrible UI.
From the developer's PoV it's a huge mess! The unstable, stitchy code, the game sometimes seem to hold together by a miracle. Tuning the game to not suck is an art by itself.
Though, as usual, the modding community comes to the rescue!
This is a never-ending game: once you start, you play it forever...
Very nice mod! Good story, nice locations. I love it. Except for Zinj. I hate Zinj!
A head-blowing mod for its time!
Fixes a lot more than it breaks :)
A very good mod, nice atmosphere.
The only downside is the spirit.dll. And I wish it was a little longer :)
A game engine on .NET can NOT be serious. A laggy pile of crap as the .NET is. And people install it on their mobile devices - guess they don't value their batteries.
Learn C++, schoolbois.
This is kind of mod I always wanted to make myself. Some people say it's boring, but I disagree: life it not always action. And a little glimpse of Gordon's work is what HL needs. Unfortunately, mod doesn't make impression of completeness. Mapping sometimes could be better, but still, it's more a Yes than a No.
I know this project well, participated in testing and developing :)
By far, the nicest remake I've seen!
