If I remember correctly, neutron has gone because bug and issues with the russian reinforcement and recovery system, so they enforce the neutron capabilities of China instead.

Are the tail "wings" animated to move while it hover? like the stabilizer from some sci-fi helicopters/gunships, ex. Ghost in the Sheel 'copters... if someone know what I'm refering of course :p

It was stated that Tremor wouldn't gain something like a explosion for the bunker reason, It would destroy it after popping. But maybe, as Tremor is based in BF Explosion and dust to strike fear, how not a dust wave/sprayer death effect from the inner silo collapsing? It would fit the theme and allow to pop the scrap bunker.
/end the tiny suggestion >:p

Comanche was far better than an improved Apache in sealth, but your point + an amount of loses in the rotor wings agains small arms and low tech AA, they thought that if there is no money and we have another projects, cut Comanche, give a go to F22 and F35, the tactic would be, if the enemy is advanced tech, gain air superiority and bomb them to the stone age, if not tech, bomb anyway, because sealth would not save the fragile Comanches in asymmetrical warfare.

Definitely, USA's enemies were doing a good use of Tier 1 AA in real life :p

I've another point of view since I've lurked from the old days of 0.9; advances in RotR are getting faster that those days in ShW, the quality is over 9000, and time lapse is almost the same, the main problem is not SWR working less, despite the lack of members, the old days you could almost mesh who worked on the mod whit who posted in C&Creneclip, Fallout, etc... nowadays they have less, the fact is, Zero Hour is not that active, the time is less enjoyable between updates, C&C files almost dead in General's world, there isn't a mod born every day, there aren't gazillion fans getting to every mod.

I think SWR is not making anything to lost their fans, c'mon, they bring even pro videos and stuff, they would make more, yes (finish ShW, more cool lore, etc..) but, see the forums over the web, none shall make interesting maps for the community nor a mod, we know each other posting in the mods because we are less fans, there is not the same enthusiasm.

I expect the team not making the old mistakes again, but, don't expect the old days, they have gone, and SWR is making a great job, an unpaid great job, and even if they make the mod of the year, there wouldn't be the same hyp that brought 0.95, only see from here to 100 pages old in the commenting system, in EVERY mod, almost everyone has gone to the flashy epilepsy party of new engines and games.

tl;dr there is better a mix of 50% crit to the team 50% fans exaggerating less; AND old days have gone.

Apache was Allied and then NOD, the first lost it mysteriously in Red Alert 2 and NOD, in fact gained a Comanche like helicopter that remain in C&C3.

Abrams are supposed to be the Allied medium tank and GDI medium tank, they disappeared from scene after that, even there are more iconic the replacements, the Allied sci-fi medium tank (Grizzly and the like) and GDI Titans.

So, no love nor nostalgia for both, hell, at least not in RotR please :p

Seriously, cool or not, some of that real units must remain a no, nostalgia? I liked the Abrams until the Realism-period of mod community when almost every mod has one in their to-do list, now is like "oh, not again!"

Same as me, try to low the graphics, I can run with almost everything on maximum despite having a poor pc not only 1Gb of Ram, it's the AI what start messing the things xD
As well as NergiZed say, try to avoid maps with bridges or terrible pathfinding, I can play without lag even in some 8 player maps against everything AI, but some 2-4 player maps make my pc sound like a washing machine, try every map you have, then avoid the laggy parties.

"..." more overused design of ShW from mod community view, I've seen too many hover crusader with flat redesign of the normal crusade in C&C files for example, Nem/EA General's Alpha one it's repeated, but less seen implemented.

It's supposed to reveal its path with cameras and observation devices, for spying all the enemy base it's the satellite general power.
The explosion, from the lore or NergiZed response, is from the unused fuel of the rocket when it land... like a brick :p

What don't change, in my opinion, a bit overused/boring design over ShW one ¬¬
If I would change one unit in the other mod, it would be a redesign of a cooler device under the hover crusader. Again, it's matter of taste, and RotR is an original design, ShW one lose cool factor that other modified MBT have :p

Indeed I know and that was what I tried to express, and except a bit less payload is deadlier because the increased sealth in every aspect (IR, sound, etc...); despite I find the Apache design more cool, it's a matter of taste in a videogame; and in the second paragraph I was about the Comanche, which was scrapped because it cost and the lack of an advanced enemy in an asymmetrical warfare in 2004, only is "more modern", apart as a prototype, in General's world because for whatever reason, instead of lack against terrorist, Comanche was more successful than Apache, so if we consider Apache a bit repetitive in mod community, the second reason to not to appear in RotR, is because Comanche is more modern in General's world, and in reality against an advanced enemy like Russia, Comanche protype would be better.

Sorry if I expressed on the contrary.

Would the AI try to flank-ambush more and use better the general powers, apart using the new units than previous edition we didn't see?

Would the new AI improvement lag as Rotr? or is it less complex? I experiment that the famous lag from your mod is, by chance, the same I suffer with Cold War Crisis, MidEast Crisis (or related mods), Contra (only during the periodical AI massive assault), and some maps with a hard AI modification, I think that all these lag would be the famous pathfinding nightmare from SAGE, because all the most listed have the more challenging AI. Maybe I'm wrong, I don't remember if they lag in multiplayer with no AI.

The text above say "add these two factions into the "General's" world", not a total conversion; General's world have Raptor and Humvee, maybe we would blam almost the entire mod community that try not to bring a total conversion, for having such overused units :r

Think about the apache, almost every mod that bring some realism has for the first renders, apaches and abrams, and almost every mod that start that way end being dead, it increase the bad feeling about those overused units.

On another point, Apache and Comanches are the same role, antitank gunships, and in Zero Hour it's supposed that Comanche instead of a scrapped project, result in the successor of the Apache in the United State Army, so it's not that rare the Apache wouldn't be in the future, it's not like the lore about Chaparral that the need of a heavy missile platform come in form of an update of the old weapon system, in rotr it's most logical that Comanche receive better AT missiles and systems than scrapping the project another time and, update the old Apache.

And lastly, it's matter of taste, I for example think that the Apache is cool, over the Comanche, but it's their mod and in the other hand, having a Cobra + Apache rotor wing floating in the battle will feel too much CWC "in the Future!" trope.

Main issue born in the translation to new forums, I was lurking on both and I remember some confusion, only stated in the threads of Fallout that 1.5 wouldn't have ECA nor GLA, with the rapid change the mistake in Moddb descriptions and some questions were cut in the move and the elimination of many content from Fallout (I was checking the question threat in example and one day, it was gone), then you changed the moddb description but only few fans asked the questions about ECA and GLA in 1.5 in the new forum, that was in air and the correction in moddb went unnoticed.
