Another SPG variant of T-26, SU-5 was developed with three configurations of armament in 1934. The prototypes participated in parade on Red Square. Only one version was produced, but only in small numbers, but never saw mass production.

SU-5 was self-propelled gun on T-26 chassis. Three variants were developed, SU-5-1 with 76mm gun, SU-5-2 with 122mm howitzer and SU-5-3 with 152mm howitzer. 30 SU-5-2 were later produced and most likely were send into combat and destroyed, as there are no known survivors.
