In the new test run, one tester has almost completed half of the game and there are two main bugs we have found which need fixing, as well as another tester and I working on the "what happens if" scenarios, which constantly needs stuff to be tweaked. So far i would say the testing is going better than I expected. As far as I know the new render now works ingame but has a few bugs. The adding of new trees is complete and all levels will be re-compiled on high when the new render is complete. Dez and I are still adding anomalies, loot items, bonus content etc to some levels.
I would give a lengthy reply to this, but you obviously don't keep up with the facts and so an answer is not merited.
13 years? You must be posting from the future.
Not yet :)
He was a good stalker...
Correction, Griphoon and skyloader. Barin left us the same time as I joined.
Griphoon graduated from Uni last week so congratulations to him :)
Next year he will start his masters degree.
Doesn't look at all like fog to me, just early morning sunlight trickling through the trees.
I think if you checked all the uploaded images you will see that the vegetation is much more dense and there are many forested areas.
Yeah that's a good old feeling. We have a new better feeling :)
If you bothered to keep up with the games progress, you would see that it is not simply about restoring SOC`s cut content, but I guess its just too much to expect from some...
We are all anxious/keen to get it done, and it WILL be done when its done and no amount of complaining can change that. We understand some frustration, we have frustrations of our own. Good things always come to those who wait.
"reworking of the engine with a new story"
That's a slight understatement I would say.
of course I wont comment on the ending, but as for storyline, we haven't changed it for ages, just been de-bugging it.
I ran up to an RPG wielding NPC and he promptly pulled out his pistol and shot at me, so I say yes :)
ctd`s maybe 10-15 but we fixed all of them as I went along. Yes we will still be adding content, but not story related, just a bit more alife here and there etc. And ofcourse we will be polishing until the day of release :)
I just completed the game and I must say I felt quite emotional. To finally play the game from start to finish and actually watch the teams hard work in action was awesome.
Finisjed about 75% of the game now in my playthrough and hit a small snag last night, just ran out of time ( as usual) to really have a good look at it. I think 1:00am Is the new 11:00pm... Should hopefully be fixed soon so I can continue.
Damn, forgot to log in...
My wife said the same thing :)
HI, not too sure what you post meant, but If you asked about Beta release, no, we wont release anything unfinished. You do not need any program/game to run Lost Alpha, it is standalone.
yes, there are useable computers, but we tried to balance gameplay, so it wont be like "walk around and check all computers", you will only need to check some of them, the rest are just a bonus for exploration.
Firstly, again I will remind you that this is not a mod, and will not follow in other mods' footsteps of just adding in shedloads of new weapons and textures with buggy maps and buggy everything else. There will be plenty of new areas to explore to keep you well occupied, as well as a few small alternate story paths that can have different outcomes and effects.
The other day I mentioned that I had completed about 1/3 of the game. Actually I was mistaken, I had only visited 5 levels and so am nowhere near 1/3 yet :)
This weekend I hope to get to 1/3 and beyond, then I will report again.
Pretty much the same as our last update. Adding some new models, working on the render and bug fixing. I have started a new playthrough test and have made it through about a third of the game so far without any major problems (taken three nights but really rushing around without sight-seeing) I`ll try to give more updates as we go forward.
if your legs look like a pen then yes :)
