hi:D being at war with both ostermark and ostland is really bad, i guess they stabbed you in the back?
ostermark the shifty little buggers did the same to me when i had kislev picked.
i would take one on their cities, trade it back to them for a peace treaty and maybe some gold. ( move a few small armies with artillery around until one gets through their lines and find an undefended settlement or one big army if you can scrape it together)

i would ally with the dwarves and sell a territory to them.
when you have strong enough defenses, either send an expedition to capture a rich goblin settlement and level all the buildings one by one after capturing it in one piece and hold it with a sparse remnant force making it expensive to claim for any attacker. or blitz norsca and pillage weak settlements where you can find them. either leave them entirely afterwards and or sell them to the dwarves.

demons should spawn near dark elven cities imo. they are pretty close to chaos infested wastelands and they run deep into chaos channeling with all their bloodletting giving khorne and slanessh a ru8n for their florins.

on merchants, try leveling them a bit and send them treasure hunting.

im about to have one earn 1400 per turn when i reach my destination. and its a merchant with rank 7 i think it was.

some of the dwarven settlements were custom buildm but it's scaled back for now. last i heard they were working on something but it but its probablyo ne of the last things they do.

the conversion mechanics does seem to have some issues with priests, i have not been able to identify positively any number of priests having any effect in a region over time.
the religious buildings however do convert for me. it would be nice to spice up religion/culture benefits like special units, upgrades or improvements from a temple. even a mission to upgrade to a certain level and get a reward. and there is one type of agent beyond princesses we havent seen i think, which is inquisitors. if the empire or chaos could have them roaming the place that would create sooooo much more chaos and might even make you wish you had assassins again.
nothin makes you hate an organization more than them taking away your fav commander just before a decisive battle. the book of grudges would get competition in terms of intensity in showing your full appreciation for the newest name added into the meet and greet calendar.

hello:D i just started a vampire campaign and i reached the drakenhof guard recruitment, but even though i have the gold and the 1 unit awaiting recruitment the text over the unit says that i reached the limit for this unit type.
i have both vlad and iseara walking around with their drakenhof bodyguard but hopefully that doesnt count as a drakenhof normal unit being recruited?

if you want to take on cav charges i recommend spearmen in lose formation. and halbs to follow up once their cav is pinned.

upgraded state troops from rich provinces / cities could receive higher armour values and the like from smiting type building chains, making it seems a valuable investment.

i don't mind some reasonable damage increases on well crafted weapons like rifles and the like. if the balance allows for it, not that i usually consider perfect balance the most important, i like lore balance a lot more:D

it's not really cheesing if you utilize tactics that has worked in our history.
the quality of human troops in the beginnin fothe campaign is very low, but that does correspond well to the price imo. later on you get access to very capable units. my problem was actually in late game that i always felt like having ridiculously few casualties loosing a bit of the thrill effect of combat.
enemy numbers makes it into easy to kill blobs often, but that just means there have to be many more of them.
low tier militia type troops and cheap state troops are supposed to have difficulties against orc waarghs. in the start you need all the terrain and wall usage you can get. kislev starts with some decent units for defense at their capital, more elite units being valuable offered as gifts or honour guards for all important characters in the begging of the campaign should solve it even without balancing anything else.

hmmm, i took bloodkeep in turn 10 - 15. as wissenland. i think it has to do with position of armies and maximizing the battle terrain, make the enemy lose time and numbers by being bugged down in traps.

note. those cannon really do wonders.

i have started a new wissenland campaign, do you know if the countess of nuln appears from an event at some point, i took all of wissenland if that is a requirement.

i remember there was some talk about having the heroes and lords in and i saw that the alt cut did add them at one point just without factions being able to recruit.

at turn 126 i run into an end turn crash while dwarves of khazardum has its turn of the ai factions moving their turn.

playing as dorwinion still. i tried a few things like making sure no characters have auto orders, deleting that map file that auto generates, making sure my anti virus doesn't interfere.
getting the message "title medieval 2" medieval 2 encountered an unspecified error and will now exit.
maybe an event is popping at that turn, couldnt tell from the messages.

does anyone have any idea?

as dorwinion. well, lokerim comes from rhun, they are not really much of an issue, jsut use some armour piercing and some artillery.

ty for the help, i have it installed and im crushing everything underfoot with my imperialist roman type dorwinion.

i have a question regarding the ai, can it be improved on the strategy map, it seems to make weird decisions cutting its forces in half and not pressing on weak areas when it can.
same for battlemap.
its probably the hardest part i imagine, ca cant get it done even.
oh and i saw the campaign video where lindons main army stands around not moving, can that be changed so it wants to move and increase survival chances for its faction.

is that part of the lore, that the arch demon gets to revive, i thought there would be a new one to take over in a later age from another fallen high dragon.

a negative command effect4 could be given to anyone other than grey wardens who encounter dark spawn as a general trait. just to make the distinction between grey wardens and all others.

(a grey warden could get bonusses to command vs darkspan from some traits, maybe thats better than direct damage bonus.)

about the arcane warriors, would it be too much if the dalish could have a capped unit count of 1 arcane warrior unit at highest tier if they manage to hold and build up the elven ruins in the area (brecillian forest i think) where we find the spirit of the elven arcane warrior from dragon age 1.

its true that lesser characters are details when it comes to the world and strategy so they will be secondary in priority which makes sense.

as for ideas to use wynne, i would say a garrison general at the region controlling the cicrle of magi near lake callenhad could have a chance at getting her as ancillery. giving plus to hit points, increase virility for general and act as a magical surgeon for the army.
iron bull is difficult because of his split loyalties, so giving him to a faction from the start... maybe a merc with a low loyalty / high risk of deserting, if those mechanics can be made to work that way for specific units.

shale could be a wandering independent looking for pigeons and dark spawn nests:D

read through the army lists and the dwarves getting golems is a dream coming through!

i know you stated you had something special in mind for the game characters at some point.
would you be able to put an expanded list out at some point and will you listen to wishes for such a list, i have a thing for a certain pirate queen without a ship, i have an idea about making her a merc who would cost exactly the amount for the best ship that can be bought in the game:D
