Are they? I only heard they'll be reducing their staff and new projects since some 2 billion dollar deal did not go through.

Anyway there's DXU24, which is not a remaster, but a project to run Deus Ex 1 on the UE5 engine in real time. With VR in mind, but will work on flat screens.

By "Yes" he actually meant "No".

CoM is on Steam, in a click-to-install format, but the only voting option is here.

It has almost 10000 reviews there man.

Nothing is fishy here, it really is a very popular mod.

Edit: there's also over 50000 downloads of files on the mods page.
It's hard to say if downloads of full versions are unique, because some people might simply go with the patching route, but it's still a decent number.
Edit 2: And the mod is also on GOG.

Exactly, it's an absolutely amazing mod. There are definitely some strong contenders, but CoM takes the cake.

Again, it's a shame.

But hey, Embracer Group bought Deus Ex, Tomb Rider and LoK rights, and they're known for doing remakes and remasters, so maybe we'll get an official DX 1 Remaster (hopefully not a remake :) ). Their studios did Spongebob Squarepants, it's logical to assume they might do DX 1 at some point.

Unfortunately GMDX 9.0 is done, and the author has no plans on working on it any more iirc. GMDX RSD is on hiatus, and so is the v10 community update.

"DXPC Nov 28 2021
My past has caught up with me and I won't be back. I'm going back to my 2004, where everything is began."

Seems the author mostly needs a mental health check. Shame all sources and downloads were wiped, there was some good work there.

Dude, it was dead from the start. Guy wanted to have something in his portfolio, he chose a relatively unknown game that still generated some buzz, then he buzzed off to a normal job.

At least Arx Insanity is still in the works. Not as "pretty", but still fun.

Take your time. It's a 17 year old game, if we are watching this project now we'll be watching it in a year :)

I agree. He thinks he will not get a Cease and Desist order any minute now why?

Modding is one thing, using licensed assets with another engine is another. Heard of Apeiron? Or any other fan remake, besides maybe Black Mesa (which recreated everything from scratch), that was allowed to exist?

This will still come out in 2019 though?

It' only an UI QoL improvement, not a spirit-breaking sequel that ***** on everything that made the original good.

I like the addition, it makes me want to use augs more often and choose active ones I'd swap for passives otherwise.

Same, went back to warehouse before sending the message to nsf, saved Paul, still crashing.

Oh well, we wait for a patch.

I'm still getting the crash in unatcomj12 level despite going back to previous save (in warehouse, before saving Paul).

So do I have to check the "Textures New Vision" in Data Directories, or are they purposedly left unchecked?

If you saw the beta of 9.0 in action you would not say things like this.

Enhanced artistic direction is not just those few weapon models, it's map changes (smart ones, no revisiony "moar stuff just because"), aug changes (now vision enhancement and scope are usable in hd res) and enviroment objects.

And honestly, everyone knows all weapons you'll ever need is your trusty crossbow, baton and maybe prod :D

Vanilla Liberty Island is better than Revision's Liberty Island.

After playing both GMDX 8.0 and Revision I have to say: yours is the one true Deus Ex. Revision did some nice things aesthetically (well ok, things "I" think are nice ;) ), but not all (more is somehow less sometimes) and the mechanics are horrible.

Playing GMDX and going back to vanilla (or even Biomod) rules is like playing a full fledged product and being forced to try a vertical slice early alpha tech demo.
