Just gave the mod a spin for a little bit and I'd like to share some of my thoughts with how I felt about it so far

Pros:
- The art style is really fun to look at and I'm impressed with the quality of the textures and sprites.
- The sound design is great and cartoony which suits the vibe, along with the slightly spooky ambience.
- I like that energy is used to buy health or other energy using the little PDA thing.

Things to Improve:
- The design of the areas felt very open, like I was actually roaming an underground facility--although there was a lot of dead space which could have been used for more dynamic map design (try not to stick too much to realism).
- It's not necessary to share the entire GZDoom file, instead of just the PK3.
- Adjust the clipping on the enery particle sprites, so they don't clip into the floor as much.
- Enemies don't feel very threatening, especially with how abundant energy is, but there also weren't any health pickups when I felt like I was running low?
- I did mention earlier that the ambience was pretty spooky but the same droning track got a little stale after a while and there didn't feel as if there was anything to liven the gameplay up aside from shooting everything in sight.

Keep up the work, I can tell there's a lot of talent here!

I've noticed a couple of issues; the FOV resets each time I quit the game, the load and save menus occasionally fail to close and overlap, and I've been experiencing lag but my system isn't terrible

Hey, I've just given it a run. The design aesthetic is very artistically beautiful and I like a lot of the custom decor you've added here and there like the tenticles and the enemies. Much of the gameplay was stimulating and fun as well through some of the first sections. I wasn't keen on the tightwalk, during the switch puzzle, since it was a bit finnicky to navigate-- and some areas like the large checkered room with the black pool beneath a floating flatform were a bit difficult to understand what the objective was and what the switch was supposed to open, so I think you should streamline and convey better what the goal is and what certain things open if you've seen them before. I never felt too overwhelmed or dry on health or ammo, though which is a plus. It's cool that you seem to have gotten a grasp on small advanced techniques like 3D sectors and dybamic lighting. This is very ambitious for a first release and I implore you to keep learning and mapping! Great work!

Overall I'm pretty happy with how everything handles. I like the use of different death animations and the weapons are punchy.

Things this mod could do better are firstly the blood texture you use on the walls, which seems to be a different shade of red (noticably the one from Blood). It doesn't look that fitting to me and kinda takes away from the immersion. And the flashlight in the menu is a little inconvenient when you pull it out at times. If it's possible to make it function a little more like the one in Doom 3 where you can toggle it on and off with F, then that'd be much more streamlined for the gameplay.

Other than those little nitpicks, I'm glad you're still putting a lot of care into this mod, it shows! Keep it up!

Heya, I must say... This is an outstanding mod and I'm in love with the amount of simplicity (or lack thereof)! This beats a lot of the more modernised mods with their reloading and advanced gameplay styles by a long shot. I'm impressed and this has made its way up on my list.

Only one thing I would like to address is the lack of any normal screen status bar, I don't know if this is a design choice to have it on the scale 11, but I was a little confused when I loaded it up for the first time.

In any case, I look forward to any further releases for this mod, it's excellent! :)

I'm loving the aesthetic and how well the weapons handle overall. The sounds are great, the animations are seamless for a retro style and I love how each weapon is useful in its own right as opposed to being downsized by a better alternative. At first, I wasn't a fan of the voxel models for the consumables like health packs, armour, etc. But they grew on me, same with the HUD. Great pack for Community Chest and other maps with no particular themes involed!

A few small thing I would like to address are the customisability of weapon ALT-fire modes in the menu, more would be great if possible. And a small thing about the plasma rifle is the muzzle flare which shows as more of it's classic saturated blue colour, and then you have the actual projectiles which are a lighter blue. Perhaps a matching colour palette on that particular weapon would be nice. One last thing is the H.A.R which still shows the secondary ammo value when you switch to the scoped modification instead of the missiles, I don't know if that's intentional.

Seriously, AMAZING JOB, though!

Hey, pal. I must say I'm really damn impressed with the simplicity of this mod, and how close you made it feel towards the original Doom (with a little extra). Honestly, I'm rarely satisfied with a lot of gameplay changing mods as of late because of how much they add and clutter the game with new features and modern gameplay mechanics. I respect them, but I've always just wanted something to spice up the original Doom without taking away that retro feel, and you've done just that. I'm happy this mod exists, and helmets off to you for merging the new and the old together. :)
