BigTinz, terrific ambition. I was wondering if you could make a way to provide a hotkey toggle that enables/disables a player's location and blinking icons?

Can someone describe how to install this so it's compatible with the Steam Doom 3 BFG Edition? I can't seem to find basic user instructions...
@Serbian.Warrior
You will have to wait for dimibyte (the developer) to give you the official answer, but I am almost positive the answer is “No, there no way to play this mod without the removed guard posts and patrols.” The general mod approach is “all or nothing.” Unlike other mods that often have user defined options, in this mod you can’t toggle features at all – you must take everything. Personally, I wish that was not the case, as I truly believe this is a great mod and providing toggle options would make users adopt this mod. I’ll repeat what the dev says, "If you don't like hardcore, challenge oriented mods - just don't install it. Please pass through. Thank you."
Does this 7th release allow us to TOGGLE the map/in-vehicle GPS option - hopeful someday it will be there!
"Steam compatibility already solved, you need to wait for next release."
Huh????
I have the Steam version and this mod successfully installed and working - what is the issue?
Hi, I have just started playing Far Cry 2 - and decided to try the game using this Mod. Well, ten minutes into the game and I'm finding this is extremely difficult with these “one shot, one kills”. So I’m up for the challenge as this mod looks really interesting and enticing. But I am wondering if I start the game at a "lower" difficultly level instead of the “infamous” setting would that help? What other ideas might there be?
P.S. Also agree with the compass suggestion but sounds like that's a tough request to accommodate based on the author's reply.

Man, this thing is wreaking havoc, I can't get it to even load...always crashes everytime at 86%...any ideas would be appreciated.
Hi guys, super excited to try this out. Question though, when I load the game with this mod activated, it is OK to touch/changes specific settings. For example, under the "Options" screen, "ADVANCED" Tab I notice everything is set to "CUSTOM" (such as "Texture Quality", "Objects Quality", etc.). Does this mod alter these settings, and it's best that I not touch/change anything, or is it OK to change? THANKS for any help on this!
Keep up the great work guys, can't wait for 1.8 release and eagerly looking forward to it!
Garcy, I would be up for testing whatever you create, including the hotfix for the textures until 1.8 is released. Like I said, I applaud and appreciate your efforts so if there is someway that I can help out in return, just say the word!
Dear Garcy (and Team?),
I wanted to take time out and share with you my “Far Cry FCAM experience.” I am one of those guys that wait to play great games much later so I can max out the settings and enjoy the greatest visuals of an older game on newer hardware. So, just this year in 2010, I finally got around to playing Far Cry with the FCAM mod. Let me just say this, I am absolutely so blown-away, grateful and thoroughly appreciative of what you’ve developed and shared with your FCAM mod release. It completely transformed the entire game for me with stunning visuals, better gameplay and I can’t express enough how awesome this mod is. If you’re not already running FCAM, you’re really not seeing Far Cry in its fullest glory! It is that darn good, and I am just so thrilled that you continue to support this mod. I have personally enjoyed it so much, that I would be more than happy to donate to you a few bucks to buy you some coffee, energy drinks, brews or whatever!
I had a few questions / requests as well:
1) is it possible to re-use older FCAM saved games with the latest version?
2) I also love hodag’s suggestion about being able to use the –devmode switch, and would like to also kindly request that feature!
3) Here is one “issue” I’ve never been able to resolve with the FCAM mod, and it has to do with the rock texture which I posted about at the link below. Any suggestions on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated as it really is distracting and irritating! Forums.ubi.com
Well, again more than anything wanted to say THANK YOU for continuing to support and improve this mod, and for making Far Cry the best it can be!
With Best Regards and Appreciation,
Steve
I just tried this - this is absolutely the best battlefield mod ever for BF Vietnam. Just wanted to stop in and post a comment of THANKS and gratitude, it has changed the game so much for the better. My sincere thanks to all the modders involved!!!
