try the standalone udk version at udk.com the mod is broke as hell, so is ut3 *shrug*

what we ARE experimenting with is the concept of players as squad leaders, so while 64 players might not sound like much, they MAY get their own squad each, *shrug* more to investigate still

we're not sure, as the vast majority of people who downloaded the UT3 mod version seem to play it offline. we've counted a combined total of over 20,000 downloads of the rc8 from various mirrors (and those are just the ones we know about) so they must be out there somewhere!

serves us right for including full bot support i guess.

The recent release of the planetstorm UDK showcase isnt really a *release* , just a tech demo. Believe me guys, when Planetstorm has a new release, you'll hear it from underground bunkers :)

however - you could always apply to join the team! are you any good? we're looking for advanced to intermediate mappers over summer...

the UDK SHOWCASE release is free, and just went live on epic's site. news post here to follow.

its cool that you're enthusiastic about our udk version, but altho our mod is free, the source is not available to the public and will not be made available at any point in the future.

you cannot use the *cooked* source in the udk, nor would it be possible to rebuild planetstorm in the udk without the expertise and resources available to our team.

furthermore, we have not given express permission anywhere for our game assets to be used outside of planetstorm, and we ask you to refrain from attempting this.

simply sit tight and wait m8, we reckon about 1 year for our first udk *release*, altho we are looking at a number of business models, one of which is *pre-subscription* to planetstorm for a modest sum, allowing you to access our monthly test builds for a year, then obtain a discounted version of the game.
