Im the member on halo nation that gave the calculations to the cradles size, there was a scale chart of her compared to a frigate in a line drawing in a halo graphic. I calculated the length of the cradle to be 13.2 km in length, where as the next closest ship in size is the infinity at 5.2 km.

you guys should do that new battle cruiser, the one the infinity runs over, if u take a look at it its a slightly different class of ship, and my calculations show it is the size of the Covenant Heavy Cruiser, so in all likelyness that is what it is

very nice, but seriously not every warship of the unsc has a mac, this specific one i dont personally think would have one, just my opinion, but very nice texture

those 500 pods of howler missiles, in the thursday war the infinty used 6 of the pods to destroy a covenant light destroyer

upon closer inspection.... some details appear to be off, but thats ok i guess.... especially since there are 2 different Infinity models that 343 Industries are using

A) true, but impractical
B) the metal itself is light grey that the hull is made of, do you think the unsc budget cover's painting entire ships?
C) for a gameplay perspective, blending it makes it hard to see details of your own ship, and less entertaining on several other levels

no, when lit up with proper lighting they are a light grey color, they just appear to be dark because of the darkness of space

very nice explosion, but i do feel the need to point out that making the hull's of ur unsc ships so dark dosnt help the game at all, especially with the dark background of space

The everest is a Valiant Class Super Heavy UNSC Cruiser, a ship that is 300 meters longer then the marathon, I'm making it right now in sketchup, and no offence to people, most of the time i see a cruiser fanmade ship it looks simaler to the marathon or the halcyon, so im trying to make mine look like its own ship. BTW im looking into the UV problem with sketchup models, k?

The musashi aint that big of a ship compared to the other "super ships" of halo, it's 15,00 meters in length, the spirit of fire is 2,500, and the human assault carrier is 3,000. the marathon cruiser is 1,190 meters, and the valiant class cruiser is 1,500 meters. so really its not a very.... impressive ship. BTW, I am making the valiant class cruiser ATM, so you guys can design yours based off of mine.

The missiles should look like... orange flame, like any other standard flame, not the strange blue's and purples the covenant have. BTW, Mac guns fire 1,000 kilometers per i think, and the rate is unkown for ship born rounds. But the Super-Mac fires a multi thousand ton round at 20,000 Kilometers per second, firing rate is every 5 seconds.

I have made a UNSC Infinty model, would be cool if it could be used here

I myself with my modelling have a slight chance of creating a UNSC Valiant-Class Super-Heavy Cruiser, and submitting it to 343i for aproval for slight chance of cannon. I think im going to take some design elements from this ship, is that ok?

oh yea, i calculated the length of the mammoth
mammoth - 110 meters in length
elephant - 25 meters long
warthog - 6 meters long

ive made my own carrier model, and this is good, i disagree with the idea its a refitted colony ship, for they were 25,000 meters long where as this carrier type is 3,000, there are 3 known carriers classes, 2 un-named, there is this class, and there is a smaller class, that the UNSC Musashi was, (a pic of it was recently released in a new graphic novel, u can see it in the halo wikia) and it is 15,000 meters, and quite obviously a new class, user who made this, u have my permission to use my models in the sketchup 3d warehouse, i am known as Grave Heart there, k? most programs can import ".skp" models

mind u that this specific ship was noted to be signifigantly smaller then most covenant super carriers

you do good work, very good, work, however i dislike it when you dont follow the official known details of ships, or making up classes, and such, but you do good work, and i would be honored if u would add me as one of your friends

kk, ill try not to troll, but still, there are reasons why a ship class may not be mentioned, like seriuosly, there are other ships that serve the same porpose, and the cradle is not a class, it is a specific refit station there are two types, the ones that mainly fix electronics and wepons such as anchor nine, and those that fix armor such as the cradle, wich is described as 1 km squared of pure titaium armor with a huge hospital center underneath the armor, i dont mean to troll guys, but if ur going to make somethimg, u might aswell get the details right, no offence chacotay, friends?

interesting deisign... but you do relize there are 3 classes of frigates

Charon class (forward unto dawn)
-light frigate, has large number of troops and fighters, not heavely armed

Stalwart Class (only 2 known ships of this class)
-fleet support, escort, and planetary defence, coult be described as a mid-way between heavy and light frigate

Paris class (UNSC Savannah)
-Heavy Frigate, more armor and has many more 50mm point defense cannons, however has much smaller hanger bay for fighters

YES THEY DO!!!!, i mean no offence, but making up classes or changing what the class is i find to be very...what word am i trying to find...... to be a challenge to all halo fans, because we as a nation care very much about the details, and the not caring for this stuff i find offesive infact, i mean no disrespect for u, but u need to give respect to those who take there time finding and researching the facts for others to see, kay?

its not a bad design, but ur forgetting guys that ascendant justice is a super carrier, they are almost identicle in shape to covenant assault carriers, except that assault carriers are 'bout 5 km in length, where as super carriers(such as ascendent justice) are 28 km in length, far bigger then any other ship (yes its 28km, not a typo) however the design u have isnt bad

alpha is right, prowlers are much different design then most unsc ships though, actually somewhat rounded. when a UNSC Prowler engages its cloak, for invisibility it creates a shield that sort of resembles a bubble shield except when its formed it makes itself and the ship invisible, u can see this happening in Halo: Legends - The Package.
