This is what I have over on the discord:

Q:How to Install the Mod for Steam and Non-Steam Version
A:Extract the Zip file using WinRAR or 7-zip in to your "mods" folder located in your installation directory:
Default for Steam version: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Medieval II Total War\mods"
Default for Non-Steam version: "C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\common\Medieval II Total War\mods"
My Non-Steam version install directory: E:\Game\Medieval II - Total War\mods.
There should now be a "Last_Kingdom_Reforged" folder in your "mod" folder. You have successfully installed the mod for Medieval 2 Total War.
Q: How do I launch the Mod ?
A:
Method 1: Launching the mod with the Executive.exe.bat
The latest update included a new bat file that will check for both medieval2.exe and kingdoms.exe so you don't need to do anything else but click and play
You can create a shortcut of the batch file on your desktop to run it more conveniently
Method 2:Launching the Mod with STEAM Launch Option
Right click on Medieval 2 Total War from the Steam Game Library and select Properties
Click on “SET LAUNCH OPTIONS…”
Insert --features.mod=mods/Last_Kingdom_Reforged
Click on OK
Close the Properties window
Start MED II (select “Play Medieval II: Total War")
Note: remove the Launch Option to play Medieval II vanilla or Kingdoms campaigns

Method 3:Launching the Mod with medieval2.exe shortcut
Create a shortcut for your medieval2.exe
add this line to the end of the Target field:
--features.mod=mods/Last_Kingdom_Reforged
Now the Target field of your shortcut should look something like this:
"E:\Game\Medieval II - Total War\medieval2.exe" --features.mod=mods/Last_Kingdom_Reforged
Click OK.
Finally launch the Mod from the newly created and edited shortcut.

To all those who are using version 4.9 it seems that this version is unstable as a few people have told me, so i recommend either going to the discord to get the 5.0 beta (should be more stable)
or waiting for the 5.0 open release unless you want to playtest the 4.9 and get an idea of how to the mod would be, don't want to have people spending hours on the mod then loose it all cause of end turn crashes from a specific faction doing something
If you want updates on version 5.0 go to the discord

thanks for the reply.
So it is an intentional thing to have some garrisons be 0 because of the lord focusing mainly on their army and being to poor to garrison their settlements.

However i recall that the unique swords could be found in most markets on the map and you could find Goidelic swords (irish swords etc) in Dorested-I was only 40 days into the storyline when i notice this so it may apply to all weapons

Notice that the unique weapons like the Nad are in the markets

also the Francisca bugs-out when you use it for melee

The garrisons for setts dont really fill up, only noticed 2 setts that northumbria took fill up 20 troops

Testing on the Storyline btw

So to clarify when in the Readme it says "+in the Desktop folder there are modified tunics for Angles and Saxons, just put them in the Modules/Armor mod.../Resources folder"

Does this mean that the files in "VC Balance Mod 13 + Armor Mod + a little bit more realism"
Such as "item_kinds1.20220711_17403348.txt" and the other 11 files are the ones that must be put in the resource folder?

Which Nordic unit and which faction?
was it when they are doing ranged attack or melee?
did you check the system.log

Fixed a fatal crash that happened due to london that ended games.
gave it to Wessex and that fixed it for some reason

in 1-2 weeks ill be posting version 4.8 which has lots of changes. the most important one is fixing a end turn CTD that can ruin games.

Did you put the files from the hotfix in there correct locations? I think you have to do it manually. so as an example putting descr_strat.txt inside data/world/maps/base/campaign/imperial_campaign and overwrite the file and do the same for all the others

I have very bad internet so i have to find a place to upload another version, but that may take a while as i am also doing little fixes for the next version.

I have found that there is a chance for crashes to happen on the end turns, if this happens you may not be able to progress, i dont know how to fix this but this could help.

Have at least 2 extra saves that are a bit older (maybe 2 turns back for each one)
This may help cause every end turn can be different if given a few turns, so what ever causes the crash may not happen then. no guarantee though if it does not fix it then the only other thing i can think of is to start a new game at least the problem does not happen regularly

You download the submod.
Extract it into your mods folder and use it like other mods.
the Hotfix you overwrite the existing files of this version

I will eventually make another version so if you find any problems let me know

You are correct in saying that no-one can demand you to prioritize their work.

So I feel it important to stress that (as per previous private messages) I did not ask you to work on this but asked if you would be interested.

However, it is considered socially good manners to respond with an acknowledge within a reasonable length of time.

I guess an aggressive put-me-down on a public forum is an indication of the times we live in.

Lesson Learnt:
Never share my work with an individual I know only online.

ok so, I guess you say you will take a look at someone's work that they offer to share for the mod, then cut all communication when you get the files?

also if I see my file work in a future update I expect to see my name in the credited like everyone else.

Do you have a Lat Kingdom discord or a regular discord?
if so can i have the link, last year i worked a bit on the submod (all still WIP)-mainly units and ancillaries and was wondering if you would be interested in adding any of the changes i made. (the main one is the ancillaries, there still not 100% but i have added some major ones like -King of O'Neill etc
units were heavily eddited eg unit stat distribution, also fixed the OP/broken secondary of the east anglie units and some prices changed.

Thanks a bunch, iv been able to get the commando GC working, but are you also ment to be able to play as the CIS? cause only the GR shows up.
also in regards to maps, just to clarify, are there meant to be any maps that are not vanilla, if so i don't have them.

i am having trouble getting the GC to work, it does not show up.
i am using the remaster 1.5 r2 with latest RCM
in the read me it mentions that i have to in game find the "load Script"
I cannot find such a thing
so when i go to the GC i cannot find RC
Also, is RC 1.6 ment to have no aditional maps?
also in the mod files i cant find anything to do with GC

i was using the mod all is well. i was trying out different mods (mass effect etc) with the executables broke the game so i reinstalled it when i did i found that the recoil was gone from TORFront, i tried redownloading the base game and re doing the mod but nothing works ( iv been using swbf2_remaster_1_5_r2 instead of 1.3 patch it was working until the executables from meu and such)
any ideas iv tried deleting the game in the steam apps common------

once one has tried recoil one can never go back.

-OK i found the problem and its a bit surprising to me. turns out the recoil etc is from the award weapons option, so if you turn it off then the recoil wont work.
ill leave this comment here incase someone else has the same problem
