Hello,

I got this to work with Winter Assault, but the original which is 'Gold Edition' just doesn't see the mod. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Looks like the issue was being caused by a fog distance map replacement pack I was using. Hoping after I finish the mission, I can go back to it. The clouds drive me nuts. XD

Thanks for checking though, much appreciated. Btw, I love the work you've done with the mod, keep it up. :)

Hello, I believe I found an issue.

I have tried to play "THE VANDEAN COAST" map that IG pre-owns and they have 'Strength 7' from game start. After trying to assault the territory on mission 2 as the Space Marines, I get a fatal error. I freshly installed Dark Crusade and deleted all previous saves/mods, same issue.

Quite thrilled to see this. I was in your live stream where you showed off the new phasers and I can't wait for this overhaul. Your team is terrific and all of the work you guys put into these projects truly demonstrates your passion and dedication to the work. Thank you all once again. :)

Yes, they will get the refits; however they aren't really 'Heroes' like in Armada. You get Archer's voice, I think a tiny bit of dmg increase, that's about it - at least this was the case when I played the Beta several months ago. And once they're dead, they're dead. Hope this helps. ;)

So far I’ve played 2 hours as the Federation and 1 hour as the Klingons and I have to say, it’s been fantastic! The NX refit, the Andorian phasers, the textures on a 4K resolution, everything feels great!

Two additional things I noticed:
1) Similar to a previous comment, playing on Normal, my Klingon AI teammate seemed to give up after he captured his 3rd planet, I know this is a known issue so just FYI.

2) Also, the AI is chasing its tail in a gravity well going far beyond the the gwell itself going after an enemy. I’ve recently seen this in STA:3 as well.

Thanks again guys for your attention to detail. If you ever create a stand-alone game and branch out from modding, I’d be happy to contribute to any type of kickstarter necessary to get off the ground. :)

Hi,

I can tell you from previous Dev posts that it isn't a hero in the same sense as STA:3, it's merely an NX-01 with Archers voice. No abilities, no extra dmg from a standard NX-01, etc. And I'm almost 100% positive they said if they die, they're dead. Also, there are no actual heroes in the game like STA:3, just the starter with the special voice.

Hope this helps. :)

**Issue**

Hi - no idea if this is by design or not, but Captain Archers ship cannot repair at either a starbase nor a supply port.

So far, FANTASTIC MOD!!! Well worth the wait. I can't believe the quality of the textures! :)

-EDIT- His ship was finally able to repair by a starbase; I've been getting a lot of upgrades so unsure if maybe one of those gave it.

It's an ability called "Founder Protection" and requires an additional 160 fleet supply per dreadnought with a maximum of 3.

The Dominion is the only race with the ability to have more than one titan; I believe it's an actual titan ability the ship itself gets.

First launch Sins and go into the Options / Mods / Click "Show Mod Path" within the game (this generates the mod folder for the game).

Next, extract the two game folders (below) into...
Documents\my games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.85

***Game Folders***
STA3_Core_Nemesis
STA3_Module_TFF

Once you've done that, make sure your 'EnableMods' document says the below if you want to activate both mods:

TXT
Version 0
enabledModNameCount 2
enabledModName "STA3_Module_TFF"
enabledModName "STA3_Core_Nemesis"

If you just want to run Nemesis and not TFF, change the mod count to 1 and delete the TFF line from the document.

And lastly, right click on Sins of a Solar Empire properties within steam, go to the "Betas" tab at the top and select "v191mods - v1.91 for Mod Use Only" - this will re-patch the game to the previous Sins version as a recent patch keeps the game from running correctly.

After that, launch Sins and you should be good to go.

I'm beyond excited for this mod (and any future mods down the line from your team). I've been following you guys for years; every time a new official 'Trek' game comes out I compare it to your work/mods. Incredible work - you all should be extremely proud with what you've been able to accomplish. Keep up the fantastic work!!

For those who may get confused by the directions (I was a little in the beginning), Kolaron is referring to your Steam game properties within the Steam gaming app. :)

Certain ships auto-cloak when they enter a new gravity well with what I describe as a 'battle cloak'; I believe capital ships do not do this. I believe they will de-cloak when A. engage in battle or B. when their anti-matter runs out.

The other version of the cloak is the one that certain capital ships posses. You have to activate the cloak yourself (as it's an ability) and all ships within the abilities distance will instantly cloak. It will de-cloak when anti-matter has run out or you have de-activated the ability.

All cloaks are 'negated' when anti-cloak abilities are activated. The federations anti-cloak is the intrepid class (not Voyager however); this will also cause all ships to instantly de-cloak.

I hope this helps answer your questions.

For me, place the file here...

C:\Users\(user name)\Documents\My Games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.85

It's the same place you put the mod initially when you first installed it. Just unzip the file there, overwrite the old one and you're done.

Hope this helps.

I think this was addressed a while back for this version. It still works but only with Nemesis; TFF is either a dumbed down version or was removed all together due to Sins stability.

Small issues I've noticed relating to jumping to different gravity wells:

1. When selecting a distant planet (more than a single jump away), sometimes the fleet will show they're headed one direction which by the way seems out of the way, they will turn and go a different direction all together still showing the original route in the phase line.

2. Similar issue, the fleet will split up for no apparent reason and go two different routes all together jumping to a distant gravity well.

3. And finally, telling a fleet to warp to a different gravity well but ignoring the order until 2-3 orders are given to move.

Have you thought out assigning your ships hotkeys (1-9)? This is what I do to minimize the confusion. Also having certain capital ships together and hot-keying them, you can hit "Tab" and go from ship to ship. Gives you a very fast way to access abilities and by double clicking their number, you'll always go straight to their location. Hope this helps.

Promellian Battlecruiser (Neutral): The ships shields only encompass half of the hull so when firing at it, it appears to have a bubble inside the ship. :)

Yes, compatible with Steam; and this mod is in the TNG/DS9/STV era.

If you want early Trek, I'd suggest checking out their next mod, Ages of the Federation. Just note it isn't out yet.
