This is a mod I'll be watching. The possible inclusion of a revolver is intriguing; the inclusion of the Eliminator is awesome.

This is definitely on my short list of mods to try for SoC.

Working great so far here. Really dig the new variation in the appearances of the NPCs and the fact that we can loot a bit of cash with this Mod.

Try Googling the 3rd person camera view. There was at one time a Forum Thread on the GSC website that explained how to do it.

This is how I do it:
Open up the console and type:

bind cam_1 kf6
bind cam_2 kf7
bind cam_3 kf8

to bind F6, F7 and F8 to a 1st person view, 3rd person view and "vanity" view.

And this is, by the way, copied and pasted right from this forum. But I believe there are other ways to accomplish it. Hope this helps a little.

I thought he wrote somewhere that he was away from Toronto and was in transit to his Studio there to oversee the release of the mod. He's probably still in transit. Which would explain his absence in these forums.

I think it's great that some of the Landmarks from the previous two games will be visible in the distance.

If you check back through the posts you'll find that he said the release would happen either later tonight or as late as noon-ish tomorrow.

I think that they will remain true to their PC roots. It's how they develop the games in this series and seems to be the high water mark of what they aim to achieve.

And ironically enough Rock Paper Shotgun mentions the Way of The Wolf mod this morning and not the pending release of Complete. What's up with that?

Those people have a fundamental flaw in their understanding of how a calender works. Not to mention that there is a scare like this every decade or so- remember when Y2K was supposed to be the end of times?

I keep thinking how cool it would be to make a cover album of tunes from the Zone. My favorite part of zone living is the fact that these Stalkers aren't so busy to enjoy the good things in life- sitting around the campfire with a bottle of vodka and a couple of guitars.

Me too. Not that I don't think that the multiplayer function shows some real promise- I just can't find decent servers.

In the mean time while I wait I'm having possibly the best play through of CS I've ever had. Not even out of the Swamps yet and I've already got a Veles Detector and six Artifacts.

Pick up Clear Sky too. It's not as bad as the critics say {most of which complained that it was 'to hard'}; the Complete mod is absolutely essential for it however since it fixes almost all of the numerous bugs in the game.

I have a similar problem with the occasional crash. It mainly happens when selling large quantities of ammo to traders- I make sure to make a save point before unloading my loot.

Yeah, I'm doing the whole CS Complete while I wait thing too. Trying to get that Freedom Exoskeleton.

I don't know, but it does look that way to me too.

I'm really glad to see that iron sights for this weapon may be introduced through the mod. However, I hope the limited turning and sprinting with the weapon wasn't nerfed- it really helps to balance it out.

Nice to see Clear Sky get a vote! They're probably my second choice.

Take your time. Perfection often comes at the price of time passed. The previous two Complete mods were perfect themselves (hell, I can't even play CS without your mod for it). Don't rush on account of us...
