am i the only person who has trouble in both of the tutorials???? In the iris one i cant jump onto the crates and in the hidden one i can get up the shaft (and when i get close i always seem to fall right after grabbing the wall, not after the 5 seconds i should have). Ne1 have ne tips???

i no its really weird and its making my brain hurt.

i recently downloaded the "fakefactory cinematic mod" which adds new models and music to the hl2. While this mod is supposed to make hl2 more technically demanding i actually saw improved preformance. Now the load times are a fraction of what they used to be and the framerate is a good 10 fps better (and now the game looks even more incredible). Does anyone know how this could be?

all you hafta do if you're having problems as a result of the new update is preform a "clean boot". Valve has a tutorial of this on their support site. Here is the link

So you see, since they already have a butload of content not released in the demo, you can all but guarantee another free release.

they dont have a hotfix...we determined that my improved preformance was the result of a "clean boot" which is achieved by turning off any firewalls.
