THFISGOINGHERE: No, but here are some tips...
1: Listen carefully for the grenades to hit the ground. I know it's hard at first in the midst of all the confusion, but over time you'll get better at hearing when the grenades hit the ground.
2: Listen to your squad mates. They will always try to warn you of an incoming grenade if they can.
3: Also (watch) your squad mates. If you see them running away franticly, chances are they have seen an incoming grenade and you've missed their grenade warning call.
4: Anticipate the enemies’ next move. If it seems like a good place to throw a grenade, they probably will throw one.
5: The enemy is smart so don't expose yourself. If they see you and they have a grenade, they’ll probably try to throw a grenade from behind cover rather than to shoot it out with you.

It might be hard at first, but over time you'll get better at anticipating the enemies next move. :)

alexrs: I think the problem is that your missing some of the image files. When you installed the stock game did you patch it to (patch 1.3)? If not try that first and then follow the HCTM2 install instructions. If that doesn't fix the problem, you'll have to go back and search through the HCTM threads because I'm pretty sure someone else has probably already come up with a work around to the problem you're having.

And make sure that you are using no other mods because more times than not, that's the problem. So when everything is installed you should see this n your main folder...

players
save
screenshots
autoexec.cfg
hunkusage.dat
iw_00.iwd through iw_14.iwd
localized_english_iw00.iwd through localized_english_iw10.iwd
zzzz - HCTM2_01.iwd through zzzz - HCTM2_11.iwd

That's about all I know to tell you. Good luck. :)

alexrs: If you have it installed correctly, make sure that you have no other mods in your main folder and it should work just fine. If you do that and you still have problems, reinstall everything. That's all I know to tell you.

salejb: Yes. It can be done and you don't have to edit any files. Simply go to Game Options and click on {Show Blood and Gore). Once you change this option to (NO), you will no longer see blood on your hands when you get shot.

alexrs: That's because you don't have this installed correctly. Go here Moddb.com and make sure to follow the install instructions correctly.

Also, to get the most out of HCTM2, take some time and read the manual. Moddb.com

Guest: I don't know what to tell you other than to read the install notes carefully. Here are the install notes Moddb.com

Edit: Other than mods that come with HCTM2, make sure that you have no other mods installed because they could conflict with HCTM2 and that could also cause the game to crash.

alexrs: This is from the HCTM2 manual...
1: The knife code has been totally revamped. In HCTM2, the knife works far better than it did in HCTM1. Now you can have a knife no matter what weapon you carry and when you throw the knife, it will automatically switch back to your gun. New knife sounds and animations have also been added. The knife can even be turned on and off in game.

To select your knife, you must first be in the crouch position. Then tap the “USE” key to select your knife. To switch back to your primary weapon, you must first be in the crouch position. Then tap the “USE” key again to switch back to your primary weapon.

You can also activate or deactivate the knife while in game by tapping the “C” key. This will enable or disable the use of the knife.

NOTE: The “C” key is the default activate/deactivate key for the knife. You can replace the “C” with any key you prefer to use as your knife activate/deactivate toggle key from within your config.cfg file.

2: To cut barbwire or telephone cable, you must first have your knife selected, and then hit the melee key in order to cut the barbwire or telephone cable.

jacekmuranmuran: That might be because the stg44 was not available that year. In other words, if the year the mission is set in happens to be 1943 or earlier, the stg44 won't be available because it wasn't in service yet.

gitarist4291: In HCTM2 it's not possible. If you just have to have the HUD, you'll probably have to try another mod, or play the stock game. That's all I know to tell you.

There's a lot going on in this mission and if you restart the mission over and over again it can run out of memory. If this happens...

1: Exit out of the game.
2: Restart the game.
3: Run the mission again.

That may fix the problem.

1: I just thought of one more thing. When this happens, simply try switching to your secondary weapon and hit the fire key. Then switch back to your primary weapon and hit the fire key again. That might fix the problem.

2: But like I said, RAM being the problem is just a guess. You could also try lowering the anti aliasing on your video card. Or you could try lowering the amount of dead bodies. In other words, do what ever you can to make your rig run faster because it sounds like your computer might not be able to keep up with everything that's going on at the time. Again... all this is just a guess, but I think the problem is on your end because there have been over 4,000 comments and you seem to be the only one having this problem.

3: Here's something else you might want to take a look at... Some of your config.cfg settings might not be set correctly so you could also try this... Goto your Call of Duty 2 folder. Then find... -[HCTM2 Extras]/HCTM2 Add-ons/players/Slikk. Inside the Slikk folder you'll find my config.cfg file. Try replacing your current config.cfg file with this one and see if your game runs any better.

Note: You will probably have to reset the movement/shoot keys and so on to the ones in your current config.cfg file.

Also... Don't forget to make a backup of your current config.cfg file.

4: And if none of that works, try reinstalling your CoD2 game, HCTM2 and patch 2.4. That also might fix the problem. And make sure you install everything correctly. Here are the install instructions... Moddb.com

Good luck. :)

@Guest: You actually answered your own question. You will have to use your imagination a bit. The problem is that CoD2 has a limit concerning the amount of objects/models the game can run. And if there are more objects/models than the game can handle, the game will crash. And right now, HCTM2 has reached the limit. And this is why some weapons share the same model across different armies. This has already been disgust in great detail.

Google it. You might be able to find the old version somewhere on the internet. Other than that, you can't get it from here because moddb took it down.

snayper16245: I'm Not sure why that happened. It could have just been a fluke. Make sure that you are not using any other mods. If you are using other mods along with this, get rid of them. That might fix the problem.

snayper16245: That's either because you've selected a weapon that's not available or you have to many objects on the screen at a time. To fix this select another weapon or, lower the number of corpses in the Graphics menu.
