Also bear in mind that the game only really "starts" when the first ANC member is killed. If no ANC member has been killed within the first 200 seconds then you need to take towers down faster. Buy ammo specifically for this purpose - something like Annihilators for taking down the tower, then Phosphorus Rounds for taking down the ANC.

Short answer: Stick to playing on Beerfest, buy wards (from the Spaza Shop) and place them next to the Rune spawn areas (Runes spawn every 2 mins in one of two blue/red/green circles of power - look near the Hillbrow Tower) and then you'll have access to insane powerups that will enable you to unleash the pwn.

Long Answer: Interesting. The larger maps (District and Christmas) are geared towards a slightly slower, more strategic gameplay style, while the smaller maps (Beerfest in particular) when played with 10 people often turn into frenzied killfests. I would definately suggest sticking to Beerfest if you want more hectic gameplay.

The maps reward players with aggressive playstyles. Since teams aren't "paired" against each other as they are in Dota, you'll want to keep track of the opposition by using well placed wards - if you monitor the Rune spawning areas you'll have massive combat bonuses and can then actively seek out the other team and annihilate them. The two types of wards you'll be interested are either a "Car Guard" or a "Partridge in a Pear Tree" - purchase them from the Spaza Shop.

I'm assuming that in your first game you played with 2 humans and 8 computer players, and your second game with 9 computer players. The computer players aren't "smart" and don't use clever strategies, but simply kill ANC and score points. You may have noticed that the AI players all try to take down a tower together as a team. This isn't a very effective strategy - its a far better idea to pick, say, 2 heroes that have good anti-tower skills (North Korean or the Living Statue of Agriculture) and let them focus on taking down a tower and an ANC, then get the other 3 players to hunt the opposition, scoring gold and XP that way. Not only will everyone on your team level up a lot faster, but the gameplay will also be far more exciting than just cram-mobbing a tower. Always put bots on the "Insane" difficulty as well.

Hope that'll help? :)

The first few mins of a person's first or so games are often slow, as they need to acclimatize themselves to the gameplay. Were you playing with AI or human players?

Download the map pack then extract the map files into your Warcraft 3 maps folder.

Map Pack v1.11 is currently awaiting authorisation by ModDB, but you can grab it here in the meantime: Hiveworkshop.com

Enjoy! :D

Most definitely. The map is still in its early days though, so needs to have as small a file size as possible. If a map is too big in its early days then people are more hesitant to host it to let other people download it from them on battle.net. Custom models would be great and will come with time - thanks for the suggestion. :)

Very seriously, people who aren't familiar with programming shouldn't try to make a mutator.

I haven't tried the tutorial (i don't have ut3) but I so wish someone had made this tutorial for ut2k3 a few years back...

great work :D

everyone i know who has seen it says that she needs hair, and she's ugly without it, and then they can't make out the face, but i can make out the face, and I don't think there is much wrong with it, just she has a small mouth.

and the hair...who knows why these strange army-type women do that?

okay...some bad news:

firstly, our 1337zorg anime concept -Andy Screen- has...gotten too busy to draw for us, and so we kinda need a new one. before we post publically for this, we need to get some things sorted out. Also one of our mappers -g4tecrash3r- has left because of this bizzy-bug that seems to be attacking everyone.

we will prevail!

if u would like to map for us, just drop me a pm and we'll get back to u asap. there will also be some help requests posted soon about this subject.

this all sounds really time consuming, why don't u make them in maxpayne 2, because unless u make a different storyline with different maps, its going to be really repetative, because (I am sure many other people feel like this) I have played maxpayne so many times with various mods that even new mods lose their touch. I haven't actually played maxpayne 2 but am sure not many people have played the game to death yet

just some thought, good luck :)

no, no new maps, no new weapon models, just updated weapon functions and gameplay stuff, mainly to minimise download time etc, and also we haven't got enough maps finished for use etc. We will have a much bigger (20-50megs?) release once we have a few maps and weapon models done.
