I've been going around as a writer, but started getting drawn into Concept Art and 3D modeling. I'm currently finishing my studies as a 3D artist and will then be let loose on the world. Beware!
I don't know. I just seem to get duller and duller with this. It's really difficult designing parts of a map, if I don't want to get into detail work. I'm just blocking in what I think it might look like, but I don't get very far beyond "blocks" at the moment. Perhaps I should let go and just paint things as I would like them to be.
rough drafts are great because you can work out some of the problems before you get to the final result. I like your rough draft because it shows dimension and weight. The tones, colors, shading, texture can be added later.
This is why I like photoshop so much because you can sketch your heart out and then turn the sketch into a finished piece of art.
I think I want to prototype more in 3D, since I use and learn XSI now. It would be easy to build similar scenes and render out some passes form different angles. Then I can add color and detail, if I like what I have.
Thanks for always commenting, often it makes me understand better, why I'm doing something I don't yet understand myself :)
