Enough. This is not the place to be bickering. I'll partake in this no longer, much though I may want.

If you want to dispute history, the comments page of a video game mod is not the ideal place in which to do it. Taii and myself made some fun, I apologize if this hurt your manly feelings. If you have issues with a feature of the mod I suggest you take it to their forums and post a sensible argument there, rather than kick up a fuss over some sarcastic comments.

If established historical assumptions offend you so, then you could always pick up a copy of Corsix's studio and change it yourself. However not only does it make for unique and interesting gameplay, it's also common consensus that the Soviet Army was awfully equipped. We can argue history all you like but if it truly bothers you, the solution is a 2mb download and ten minutes of your life.

What is that comrade? Are you of insulting Stalin's wisdom? Perhaps you go to him then and sit and talk military strategy! Perhaps YOU plan invasion of Berlin! Or not, because perhaps Stalin is smarter than you in these thing. You want to fit every man with rifle? Why? What is purpose of rifle if it is not use? Aside, rifle expensive, conscript disposable.

You want extra rifle? You go find! Maybe kill a fascist dog and steal his!

Is Model Detail the one you can edit in game that just changes draw distance?

Either way, I think this bug is a shader issue, so try setting Shader Quality to other levels and see what happens.

From what I'm aware, CoH made use of a particular version of Direct X (among the first games to do so) but it wasn't well done, thus, bugs on some shader settings. Set them to high should fix it all.

Yeah, but MARSOC looks like normal Marines. Speaking of, how the damn hells do I change that? Went into Corsix and changed the entity blueprint, didn't work. Changed the .abp of MARSOC and that didn't work. I've got the first unit spawning in a FR skin but all others and reinforcements spawn as MARSOC/Marines.

Think we'll ever be able to use the Marine Force Recon in Skirmish? I know we have MARSOC, but the USMC still feels lacking in spec ops units.

I'm not sure, I usually just restart until it my team is together, but maybe setting the AI to a lower slot in the lobby would work? I've noticed that the Icons I see near the bottom of the lobby list are usually the ones I encounter last in game. Might be my pot luck but give it a go and see if it works.

Alternatively, are you able to set start points in custom-made galaxies? If so, you could just build you own map.

Yeah it works fine. You can use the bundled ConvertData_Rebellion file to convert data to a readable format, then convert it back. Its a command line program though so you'll need to find a tutorial somewhere. You can even leave the old files in the mod and make a new mod, overriding the regular settings, if you load it before SotP in the mod list.

Which file specifically? As far as I know, all the files in regular Sins aren't editable with a text editor by default, you need to convert them, then back when you're done editing.

I would assume converting the files in this mod would allow you to edit them, then convert them back to be able to use them. I'm actually going to look into increasing the capital ship limit later, for personal use. If I have any luck I'll return and let you know, if someone doesn't beat me to it.

Out of curiosity (and possibly ignorance), do you guys have plans for a Covenant Titan? For the UNSC, the Infinity makes perfect sense, but most of the big Covvie ships are produced and used like cruisers.

Oh there's always work to do. But with the kind of fanbase HALO has, you've got an unlimited supply of talented people and annoying twelve year old kids. I'm sure one of those is a good thing.

At any rate, I'm loving the new gameplay. The faster combat is a godsend, truly.

Dug up my old account just to say that I'm really glad and impressed that this mod is still alive, and going strong. I hope you guys keep up the awesome work. We've been far too long without a space-based HALO strategy game.
