Same (?) problem as openmaw, env_sky doesn't render models/monsters for me in any version above 1.4. Brush world/entity are fine.
Is there a changelog somewhere to find out what features I would have to backport if I choose to rebase my mod on Spirit 1.4?

It's still not perfect though :/ (atleast it wasn't for me) Still laggy and clicking into the 3d-view didn't always work..
If you have a powerfull machine you might want to try VirtualBox 3.0, it now features Direct3D(9) and OpenGL emulation/passthrough which might just fix it.
