If I was a millionaire, I'd fund Ashes to be a standalone commercial game like Hedon.
Not bad. E1M1 was a tedious key and switch hunt, the rest of the levels in E1 were better in this regard. Not Death Wish, but as far as Blood goes, pretty solid.
Sadly, the Underhell project seems to be dead. The commercial release just withered off years ago, the Unreal Engine transition is a fan project, not made by the original devs :(

You are not supposed to extract the zip just drag and drop it onto the gzdoom executable.
Ok, there is tons of potential, I'm gonna shill this TC, but:
-Enemies move WAY too fast, especially the imps
- A bunch of enemies deal way too much damage, especially shotgunners
-I understand the low light adds to the atmosphere, but then add some lighting for enemies that prepare to attack (fireballs, muzzle flash).
-Add a 0.5 second frame for enemies preparing to attack: aiming fireball or gun
-Slow down the smoke monster a little but and make the stun last longer
-Objective marker? I think its really easy to get lost in these levels.
