A new DoW update hit just a while ago. Anyone know what it did?

Okay let's take an example: Starbound is a game that I can download through the Steam service, however it does not have DRM because it can be run without Steam entirely and it only needs to receive updates through the service.

I think he's more trying to point out that such limitations are not imposed by Steam, but a choice of the developer. So blame Relic/Sega.

Steam is a double edged sword. I like how it's opened the way for indie gaming and ease of access for more gamers. But then there's the DRM and the fact that not everyone has a fast and reliable internet service.

I remember back when I had dial-up and had to download enormous mods and games. I know this pain.

So it can still be done without the .dll files, it just can't have the immersiveness. It's a shame but these are mods so I can't nitpick about the details so long as it works.

Sorry correcting what I said earlier as I was the guest. I didn't realize this was over an update from back in May as I've only had SS installed since the first of June. Also I forgot I have an account here.

Did you only mean that future versions of the UA mod are going to have this problem?

Needs to be a little more runny looking. However, if it was on a mirror or perhaps one of those erasable marker board things it might still look scary (even if it was actualy written in sharpy).

Uh, one mod team (not on this site though) has already made a mod that adds playable dwarves without affecting the other races. Another mod was made that gives you a spell to make characters bigger, or it may have been a cheat i'm not shure. And my point, the race models are NOT as restricive as you think.

The mod looks great and the grafics are about on par with Sonic Heroes. Can't say THAT much about it though as i haven't played the tech demo. Heck, i dont even own so much as one of the UT games and have never realy been interested in Unreal until now. Though i'm still not going to buy it until i know that your mod is in it's final stages, because like i said i'm not realy interested in UT.

Sorry for double post. Yes i just noticed that more than a few posts have been removed. Wow, looking at it now i can see two posts that i've responded to have been removed. As for the post by me that was deleted, i wont say what it was about so that i don't get deleted again. :paranoid:

You probably are only saying that it sucks because you have just played the WA version and without even looking at any of the comments, news, screenshots, or anything else to do with the DC version of the mod at all. Of course you could also be saying that just to annoy people. -_-

You said something about player reskins, will that meen that squad leader actualy looks the way he should in alternate camera modes?

This is horrable i've posted four times now! :( and i've just figured out the problem. when you install make shure that you also instal the AI mod that comes with it, wich is in DC_AI_Mod_2.40 . :nervous:

I got the failure to activate problem. I think it was very foolish for you to have this prob and not even bother to say how you fixed it.

I don't have to be a member of the mod team to tell you that it WILL need a patcha almost ALL the mods require a patch.
So stop whining and go buy a real copy.

The new Dark Crusade game just came out this month.
Will this affect the mod at all?
