Recreation of The Battle of Thermopylae of 480 B.C. focusing on the Spartans and last stand for Greece. The multiplayer will be a beast of its own mainiting the art, style, and fighting sense, but recreating the gameplay. It will be oriented towards the war as a whole instead of the single battle. Will be including updates as game design decides on more set in stone factors.

(These lists will be added to as we become for sure on the gameplay)

Singleplayer including:
-Ten hours of gameplay
-Battle formations recreating troop combat of the Spartan Phalanx
-Calling on you to use group combat constantly giving you 4 Spartans at your side, and requiring you do use strategy to overcome the odds

Multiplayer including:
-Multiple classes and a ranking system that unlocks characters as you rank up in the Greek or Persian army
-Multiple fighting modes including a lenghty campaign mode, waging the war until there is a clear victor.

5 comments by Lavidimus on Apr 28th, 2007

First biggest announcement is obviously the name change. After consideration we have decided to change the name of the game in it's prototype stage from 300 to the more formidable, Sparta: The Last Stand. This is a dual reason, one is we're scared of Frank Miller, two is the even though the single player is solely Leonidas, the multiplayer is about the war.
Second announcement, a lot of people were bitching about how we didn't have "in-game" graphics last time, well this time almost every picture has its in-game counterpart. Our current characters and environments are under wraps and still works in progress, even though most of these items also are, they are closer to texture ready.
We are dropping two modelers and need replacements along with multiple other people to fill in the help wanted gaps that we have. We need people for ALL positions so feel free to apply if you want to work with a great team making a great game.P.S. More images are being uploaded into the image galary and not in the update, check em out.

Yeah no kidding they fought a war bigger than that! The whole point of the movie was that those men CHOSE to fight, against all odds, and against their own leaders... If that was a military sanctioned battle it would count as a tactical loss, but it wasn't, and thusly they becamse 'heroes'... Alteast enough to have a movie made of them centuries later.

Melee+UT3... No such thing :)
