I have started learning to use the Valve Hammer Editor to create maps for Half Life 2. I would like to create the start map where Gordon wakes up on a train in the wastelands observing headcrabs, bullsquids, houndeyes and the gargantuan destroyed by another train.

I want to become an experienced mapper. :-)

Well, they are different games. But here is an example: it's my Weapon sounds mod from Half Life 2 Beta that I made a few months ago. I'm not finished yet. I have uploaded it to YT: Youtu.be

Additionally, I am always modifying the sounds of several mods of Half Life 1, Half Life 2 and their episodes, but those sound modifications I do not upload to the internet. Yesterday I was modifying the sounds of Half Life Source.

What are the requirements to run this game?. I have L4D2 and all the SDK installed, but when run, I get an error Failed SteamStartUp: SteamAPI_Init () failed; not appID Internal error or something. Then I will write the exact error.
