To be clear this is all opinionated and i am by no means an art expert or an anatomy/physiology major.

Looking at it hopefully more so as feedback for your sister. The shape and angle of the right arm/hand seems a bit disproportionate. Also The eyes don't seem like they're focused on the same fixed point and the face seems to be lacking details and bone structure, which could be fixed with either shading or linework to define the cheekbones. It just resonates with the uncanny valley type of artwork to me.

The most i could ever see it as is a planet replacement for a scenario mission. Sure, scale it down a bit so its not STAR sized, but its not unheard of that a single ship can act as a command and control station. I dont see why that isnt plausible.

That station in a way looks like a ship from this angle. Maybe something a ragtag group of rebels or scavengers would throw together.

Planet crackers inbound!. Your tech solution could be a late game ship that is able to remove each fragment one at a time. the resulting fragment would have to be completely mined before the ship can remove a new piece.

Im thinking that's the intent. The heritics were a fan of gold. this could easily be made into a grungy starcraft mod (and to be honest, im surprised there wasn't one a long time ago).

This ship must be purely for intimidation. Gold is by no means a ship building material. Sorry to be so negative but a soft metal is no defense. Unless they've got layers of Titanium-A underneath (Sorry for the halo reference here. Cant remember what material Imperium ships are actually made of) then one shot from another ship and this thing is done for.

I love the images. THe creative process involved is astounding and i honestly think he's going about this the right way. People don't tend to care if a product is overmarketed and in the gaming industry, you need that edge over some... especially the bronies.
