I am a retard and it took me 20 years to figure this out!...

I see 4100 unless you trolled me somehow with a nifty hidden semantic trick which i see at the "again". Again beeing reset to 1000? Then it would be 2030 (Aztec Calendurr Apocalypse?). If all of my above statements fail then i would say. FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

If not then i might drag your attention to one of my favourite formulas upon calculating arithmetic sums with a progression rule like above.

For example them 40+30+20+10 can be rewritten into (4x(40+10))/2
So you jsut have to insert the first and the last element of your sum and can compute almost any sum in your head without using a calculator.
To test ya: What's the sum of all natural numbers from 1 to 100?
Written as a sum 1+2+3+4+5+6...+98+99+100?
Have a fun time calculating that with your fingers :P.

Thus i have to say propper applied maths saves lifes...

...and fingers.

I see 10 man, due to English architecture.

As there is no joiner before it.
I think it has to do with the English language more then calculating
2070.. Terminus.
2020.. Terminus
10 Terminal....

everyone will see something different. :)

Okay how I would calculate 1-100...
1 has 99, so 100+100=200
2 has 98. so 200+100=300
....there are 50 pairs.
So 50x100=5,000
and there is the 50

So guestimations go 5,050?????
Is that right?

didn't need to use any fingers then to type this shirt statement. :P

100 pairs with 0. :P

5000 I came up with in under 10 seconds.

Err... awkwardly thinking the number 90 + 10 jumps to another 1000. :P

Yeah man it is funny, that decimal place jump happens to a lot more people then you would think. :)

Do feel awkward, its the way the calculations makes you want to think. :)

Can you see the terminus in the English language man?
every terminus breaks down the total solution and you cannot carry over. :)

Yes yes you're right ^^. Well eventhough i dunno how much time you invested in your custom counting method but using dat formula definetely saves you from writing a tiny wall'o'numbers :P.

In this case it would be starting number was 1 and end number was 100.
Don't forget them elements between which are also 100 (Including also them starting numbers).
Thus the Formula would be:

100x(1+100)/2
->100x(50.5)
->5050

I would say regarding the effeciency of this mehtod, it's a blast how quickly you can get accurate results by just using yo minds; saving the time typing that in the calculator.

Another useful of "mindfriendly" math is in computing multiples of prizes in supermarkets. I think you might agree that doing 5x 3,77$
or 12x 4,98$ can bring in you in trouble unless you've got a brilliant mind. So how to make that mindfriendly then? Use the power of equations!

You could write that 3,77 = 4,00 - 0,23 This might seem not to be a huge help but now you have two more easy to solve problems then before!

-> 5 x 3,77 = 5 x(4,00 - 0,23)
-> 5 x 3,77 = 20,00 - 1,15
-> 5 x 3,77 = 18,85

This can be enormously helpful on getting prizes in your head quickly without using calculators at all making it possibly to even pwn cashiers to know the prize before they do, giving them possibly the gaze of "Are you a wizard?", priceless.

Above method works best for prizes were rounding up produces a smaller difference then rounding down you can do both to enhance your thinking speeds :D.

Again math saves lives.

I'm lazy man, years of doing army lists means I just sum it up and remember the last solution. :P
worked well for over 20 years. :P

100x(1+100)/2
->100x(50.5)
->5050

Is meant to be done left to right is it not?
Or do they teach you right to left over there?
(,) then x,/ before +,- Left to right. :P
Maybe we are educated backwards over here.
*Looks around*, Maybe they are all backwards. :P
Coming from someone with a mild to moderate brain injury, that is a statement that cannot be ignored. :P

I have a Spreadhseet. :P
For fun I like to think in arrays and matrix, not just equations. :P
As there is so much more numerical hysteria. :P
And a lot of pc games are based on arrays and matrices. :(
You know something computing does? :P
Calkulatorz are so 1950s. :P

Equations never really did it for me as development was always arrays and matrices.

How do you equation variable matrices?
Hence the array solution I come up with. :P

I understand the calculation combinations used in vector arrays and matrices, but I just cant implement it enough into 2d/3d interactive digital media.
Maybe I am backwards too? But hey I had a mild to moderate brain injury, so I got a biological excuse. :P
Stupid wench driving me out in front of another car as the passenger in one vehicle, made me a bit stooopider. :P Should of never got into the car, just cause she had great tits, :P

But I can still matrix files. like I did with FFE to get solutions that ere usable.

How could you convince me to apply calculations through hexadecimal systems to be able to make suitable differences to a file?

Also another benefit of arrays and matrices as they are easier to handle base16. and any other base I have to work in, like machine code. No calculations in there either. :P

Remember all calculations are in base10 unless you are doing chemistry. :P Okay, Okay, Algebra. :P But it still uses a base10 system with a few extra letters. :P
But you only talking at me about Base10 man. :P

Base10, Meh, Base16+ Oh yeah bring it on baby. :P

Even is psychology its about raw data and arrays and matrices to help you make decisions about external stimuli and how best to respond to someone in distress in one form or another, :P

chemistry is an array of elements put through a matrix of solution resolution. :)
