Old, unrestricted a-life was promised but cut out due to storyline issues. So we have beautiful but empty levels, boring gameplay and no sense of danger. What a mess. I hope they'll fix it up.

Epic mod, I'm glad it's still being worked on. Your mechs are badass. Can you add some more sound effects from MechWarrior saga? Like these...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lh8togw6jQ8
Still looks like it'd be too hard for casual gamers... you should remove all types of enemies and spawn just a cardboard figure screaming "Althas!!"...
These are what I call great news. Only one request: don't let this game die. Tons of potential would be wasted. We NEED games like this.
Looks great so far. A couple of questions:
Have you thought about a Kickstarter fundraising?
How large is the world planned to be?
I'm not hating, but still being upset about some gameplay aspects: don't get me wrong, I deem LA the best thing that could happen to Stalker universe: level design and atmosphere are top notch. But what about that "somewhat old, but not fully restricted Alife"? I clearly remember some FAQ answers, where you talked about being able to add randomness and complex AI schemes to NPCs without breaking the main storyline, like CoP did (one of the best features brought by that episode). Now, no one wants this to be a crowded, CoD-like game, but NPCs feel like they're braindead, sitting around campfires all the day with minimal patrol routes, making the exploration a bit boring. I'm still stunned by the environment, but it lacks a sense of constant danger and unpredictability like in CoP. It feels like that key gameplay aspect was sacrificed in order to make the half-remade storyline work. Which is a shame.
Well, I think that nobody wants the Zone to be more crowded, just a bit more unpredictable: the player would feel a sense of wonder and danger knowing that in every place he COULD find another stalker or an enemy minding his own business.
What about sun rays? Should I keep them at medium?
Which graphical settings should I turn off or down to low/medium to have a good fps boost without getting a significant loss in visual quality (apart from V-sync, which i never enable)?
Apart from the danger, the world just doesn't feel alive. Why strolling around if I know that nothing interesting or unexpected would happen?
Played a bit more and have mixed feelings: levels are large and beautiful, but a bit empty; what about A-life? In CoP there was a nice sense of randomness and permanent danger. Where are those unrestricted and wandering stalkers?
Got a question: what about the "not fully restricted alife"? So far the Zone is beautiful, but feels a little empty: no random mutant encounters and stalkers resting day after day near campfires. In Call of Pripyat, from the very first bits, I felt a sense of randomness and permanent danger, which this version of L.A. seems to be lacking.
Disabled them before getting out of Sid's bunker for the first time ever. So i did it very early.

Tried it: awesome graphics and plays fine. One big "bravo!" to Dezowave team. The ultimate Stalker game is no longer a dream.
Time has come. All Stalkers unite!
'Cause this is Stalker, Stalker night and no one's gonna save you from the beast about to strike...

"Yar har fiddle-dee-dee, being a Stalker is alright to be! Do what you want 'cause a Stalker is free, you are a Stalker!!"
When the link appears, this page will be... medieval.
I used to be a Stalker, then I took ModDB's validation system to the knee.
Let's march together like a mighty army and turn the world upside down until LA is out.
Please Dez, show us the torrent link and I might wash your car with my bare tongue.
This waiting is getting painful.
Hope it comes out before we're all drunk.
Thanks, bro. It's been a long journey.
Not out yet? Ok, we need more vodka here.
300 Stalkers vs. 1.000.000 CoD kids.
