is there a way to fix the republic level 4 shipyard, cause atm it has a major problem with only one venator as a garrison, when that's hardly enough, but when attacking it, it also tends to have a nice advantage of infinite health.
yeah, I'm not actually sure I like that change, I usually keep phase 1's around just cause I like them and how they work, the commanders in particular, but now it seems like you'll automatically lose the early commanders for the later ones, or does this only affect the basic clones?
Here's hoping the AI actually does stuff now, especially later game, though some early ground defense playthroughs would be fun too.
This is the advantage of both steam and GoG versions of the game, you can reproduce the folder and mod each one differently, eliminating this AI issue permanently.
I'm able and willing to test this mod out for bugs and such, I was and still am a closed beta tester for the Absolute Chaos Mod by Killdivas, ask him, he can testify to how helpful I am as a tester :)
You might want to check the gc starting page where you can choose the maps, equal footing is only 55 planets rather than the large 140.

Um, no, just, no. I have literally used only the torrent company, the arc troopers, anakin and ahsoka, and sometimes some help from either artillery or obi-wan. If anything, the only real prayer the umbarans have is thier hover tank, but that's easily beaten if you know it's weakness. Anything with decent range can kill it, along with good speed. Barc speeders are the hardest to use, but it's so satisfying when the tank dies. Currently, that's the only battle the AI is super challenging in, and I love it. Geonosis is good, now if only I could get the AI to attack me back after I take that from them.
For those with difficulty using win rar, I found something call 7-zip.org that works similarly, and is totally free.
Yeah, I found a problem with the AI. From what I've noticed so far, I'm basically being left alone now that I'm mostly built up, and the AI is on hard, so I think it's afraid to attack me. IS there any way to get the AI to actually attack me, or am I doomed to mop the floor with the AI while taking literally all of thier planets with the same exact fleet and ground army? (I tend to play GC in a defensive format, rather than attacking. As a result, an AI that won't attack is rather boring.)
Is anyone else getting a game ending glitch where the consortium attacks one of your planets, in my case Fondor, but when you start the battle THEY get YOUR shipyard, and you get stuck attacking? I literally lost a level 4 shipyard and my entire fleet, and eventually the planet, because I was never given a fair chance. If this feature is intentional, then the consortium is extremely op. If not, then its worth mentioning that Fondor was corrupted at the time the glitch took place. Needless to say, I deleted the campaign out of frustration. Especially considering all the work I put into that planet, just to have the AI steal it for itself.
I have the same problem. I am taking advantage of the AI's stupidity for now, but as I usually play defense in GC, I would like the AI to actually attack me instead of staring onto space. I only wish there was a fix for this issue, but it seems to not exist.
