Altitude warfare is where the Screaming Basilisks excel at, they take pride in rapid fighting manoeuvres conducted from variable altitudes. In short, the 72nd Legion is a proud airborne infantry Legion.
The 72nd Legion is what remains of the 208th Sky Corps. During the fight against the New Galactic Empire, they were responsible for slowing down the Imperial armada at every turn by cleverly laid out traps, guerilla tactics and surprise attacks which kept the Empire alert on all times and stretched their numbers thin.
However, when the Mandalorian Civil War erupted the Legion suffered a massive schism with half of it supporting the Shock Troopers and the other half supporting the Mandalorian Empire, the Legion fought on Kuar and was brought down to one fourth of their original strength. The 72nd Legion now existed out of only Mandalorian Imperials.
But their ideology was set aside when the New Galactic Empire unleashed its host upon Mandalore, the 72nd Legion took up the nickname Screaming Basilisks for liberating and then using a large amount of Basilisk War Droids against the Empire during the Mandalorian Uprising.
