An aggressive and secretive Legion few understand. The 174th Steel Talons widely utilize armor over infantry and time tested platforms to develop newly developed combat systems on, the result being strange vehicles that may look old but can demolish any top-of-the-line machine in a straight up fight.
Founded during the Second Mandalorian Empire's reign, they started out as the expansion of a unit of Canderous tanks known as Helas-Three-Eight who modified their vehicles to perform better. Over time the Helas unit was expanded, many tanks modified and they started to receive, develop and test technology in secret.
Eventually they were turned into a real regular Legion and renamed the Steel Talons, the 174th Legion received regular funding for their research and development section right up till the fall of the Mandalorian Empire.
At the outbreak of the Mandalorian Civil War, the Talons were one of the few Legions to not have infighting break it apart. They retained their advanced weapons and vehicles, siding with the Shock Troopers and commanded by Vivec himself. They were responsible for the fall of the Mandalorian Imperial stronghold of Dxun.
Shock Trooper supremacy was short lived as the New Galactic Empire moved in with their fleets, though the 174th Legion offered battle it lost much of its vehicles and many Grenadiers died resisting the Empire. Eventually they were forced underground.
Their fanatical devotion to armored warfare and advanced technology helped them fight the Empire as a guerilla force. Before and after the Mandalorian Uprising, they were responsible for the destruction of 20 All Terrain Armored Transports.

Nice. Steel Talon units always looked pretty cool.
Considered using the units, but I have enough units as is I guess.
