Insect-like machines are super common in fiction, but they always seem to be based on the same sort of bugs, like wasps, spiders, centipedes, etc. With this Telsa Drone thumbnail, I decided to base it on immature grasshoppers, but more organic designs are totally not my thing so I'm not sure about it. If I could get some imput, from a shape or function perspective, that would be fantastic.
For those that are curious, the Telsa Drone turns enemy vehicles into uncontolled telsa coils, zapping all that come near, and powers down enemy structures by siphoning power, an act that also increases their power.
Hmm, dunno, grasshoppers are rather more known for making their specific sounds - so they could be rather used by Allies or other forces, and not equipped with the Tesla technology, but with a sonic one. ;-)
Are there any electric-eel-like animals or insects on the ground (mainland), BTW? Maybe they could be used as Tesla tech bearers. What about fireflies?
TESLA GIANT ANTS!!!!!!
I'm guessing that the shield looking part above it's head would be the teamcolour? In terms of form, it looks fine to me.
IMESHO, I don't think you need to base it so directly on an actual insect. Neither the Terror Drone from RA1 or RA2 resemble any insect I'm familiar with.
I like it from an engineering point of view, nature often have efficent designs. Also, hey it looks sovietish :)
Dude, your good at drawing, keep up the good work and the team on pardox mod has done a great job, thankyou, Battle8111, Commander800
I kind of like it- it looks like its made to jump to close distance quickly and evade fire.
