So will this mod be multiplayer? It seems like it would make a great multiplayer space mod.

It is an excellent move considering any single player content will be absolutely free. You can download crysis wars trial for free and play single player mods with it.

Problem is that we don't have enough testers to make it like our first trailer. With that video we had at most 6 people available to film. It takes a LOT of effort to coordinate what our first trailer did and we don't have the manpower to equal that. Also, First Strike isn't meant to be some arcade game that a 10 year old can play. That's what the battlefront series is for. We're trying to attract the guys who like to play using teamwork, and those people usually like the gritty war feeling that my trailers have.

Make sure you downloaded patch Are you patched all the way up to 1.3?

If you can just make them killable but when they die you have to go to their body and revive them with some device.

Judging by the content you already made for the UT engine it looks like this mod will be one of the best on the cryengine 2. Good luck!

Just the view, it can fit a lot of people on the inside. The AT-AT also isn't textured at all so it may look a little weird.

I love the soft bodies but are you planning to make these things destructible as well?

I must say, the First Strike footage was rather crappy, You guys just showed shooting through a crosshair at a target you could barely see. Why didn't you guys show some death star footage?

That's how all Battlefield games are (except for 2142) I load the map in about 10 seconds.

This mod is based on teamwork, not run around and kill people. Therefore it has some emotion to it. For those of you who still prefer john williams in a star wars video check out my new trailer, personally I think this one is much better and more cinematic.

Make sure you have updated your punkbuster for Battlefield 2142. Also if you are running vista make sure you right click on the icon and select "Run as Administrator"

This mod owns the crap out of EVERY other star wars game i've ever played. I would highly recommend this mod, it's my favorite one.

If you are planning on getting 1.2 tomorrow and not playing 1.1 you should just wait. We will only be posting one full patch which is around 1 gigabyte. If we did a patch from 1.1-1.2 it would be around 800 mb so it wasn't worth posting the small 200 mb difference.

Board able capital ships are not possible within the engine, Not unless you want the ships moving way slower than usual. It is however possible to have board able ships if they are stationary for the entire round. This is not GC and it was never intended to be that.

Well considering the server hasn't crashed in months we thought it would work...It is also a pain to upload around 10 screenshots to another place and then rework all of the links in the post that you already posted on your webiste. The alternative is to copy and paste the post you just made which is much easier. Do YOU honestly think that we make this mod all because of moddb? No, we have many other websites that post our news as and it's best to use our own screenshots rather than a website that we don't even own.

If it gives you an error saying that FS isn't compatible with 1.4 just hit ignore and it will work. First Strike does not support single player and in order to see the servers you must go to advanced filters and uncheck everything except for same mod.

I spent 26 hours making sure that the song "fit". it's not john williams but are you telling me you have never seen star wars movie clips redone with linkin park music? I don't think so. Tell me how this song does not fit with the video. Every scene starts on the first beat of a measure. You may not like the song with star wars but that's your opinion. Every single scene goes in harmony with the song's rhythm and beat. The reason I used this song was because it would attract those who are not hardcore Stars Wars fans. If it makes you guys happier, my next video will probably be using one of John William's songs or something similar to it.

When I made this video I didn't know about the Gears of War trailer. I tried to make the video fit with the song in every possible way, imo it worked out perfectly.

I used Adobe Premiere to edit, Battlerecorder to get the footage, and fraps to record it.

Btw what I meant about the snowboarding mod was a mod that was on crymod a few months ago. I wasn't sure if it was the same thing.

Anyway, have you considered making it so you earn money (prestige) if you do certain missions? Then you can buy new things with the money.
