I picked a great day to comeback and revisit this classic gem of a mod.

Some of my fondest memories are of this mods original inception. Found it through gsc game world forums mod discussion section way back in the day.

Took my sweet time installing this mod, making sure everything was right. Installing something like this is a labor of love. If done right you reap the rewards of one of the greatest mods to ever grace SHoC. Grabbed all the extra files I wanted Translation project, Zone ENB, smaller grids sizes, faster loading, optimized textures etc.

I must say this... this is really something else, mod loading times are way faster than I remember lol. Game looks stunning and not a hiccup in sight. Not one CTD in a 8+ hour game session.

To the creators that uploaded this mod to ModDB and keep updating it with fixes etc. My sincerest thanks, for bringing this mod to new players /or old vets looking for something new to experience.

Anxiously looking forward to what else you will add to this mod in the near future, thanks again!

I picked this game up on the date of release after anticipating it's arrival for many years. It had a less than stellar launch to say the least (couple of patches and mods later) It became obvious that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC is one of those unique experiences that no PC gamer should miss out on. From the unique lighting, to the eerie atmosphere, to the now infamous locales (Chernobyl NPP, Pripyat etc..). Once you get into it, the immersion is unlike any other game. So much to explore, see and do, it will keep you coming back for more. Once your done with vanilla, make sure to grab some weather/gfx overhauls & mods etc. to enhance this already fantastic game. Mods: ZRP, Priboi story, Super Mod Pack, L.U.R.K., OGSE, ABC Inferno, Oblivion Lost + many more and my personal favorites Narodnaya Soljanka: DMX 1.3.2 : dkz-02 & STALKERSOUP. Just to name a few... This game is in a league of it's own. Thanks to GSC & the fantastic modding community!

A fantastic team based FPS/RTS that relies heavily on teamwork and coordination. This game is a must have for fans of either genre. Pinning Marines vs Aliens 1 player on each side can assume the role of Commander. Having a top down view of entire map they can drop supplies, give intel on enemy locations, manage resources spent for team upgrades and hopefully lead their teammates to victory. Eliminate the opposing team's primary control structure and your team wins. This game is not about who has best k/d ratios at the end of round, but what team can communicate and execute the best. In game voip makes talking to your teammates and commander easy. Dev updates + many mods already released and many more to come on Steam Workshop will keep NS2 alive for many years to come.
