My only real complaint is that the UV grid used for the texture is too black and clearly visible, which puts too much focus on the edges and makes the overall texture lose detail. I'd try to grab the original psd file and readjust the visibility of that layer. Other than that, this is really excellent. I think I'm in love.
We're on it. Don't worry about that. We still have to find ways of adding tall grass all over the map without causing fps lag. As you can see, the new foliage is already helping at boosting the visual quality of the game.
You just need strategy, a lot of it. But would make things more interesting: having the MAC guns as deadly ones, and not as regular weapons, but rather like overpowered hability-wise Gauss shots, and making the ships suffer from the effects they suffer in the Halo Universe, it would definitely be fun to play. Remember that Covenant ships had a lapse of inactivity as soon as they got out of slipspace; if this could be applied, it'd be a little advantage definitely. Plus, if when you shoot plasma, you can make the shields go down momentarily, oh man :V
Isn't the Longsword supposed to be a Fighter, not a bomber? Sure it could be a multi-role fighter, but from the books, it clearly states the Longsword as a Fighter.
I like the Tesla Reactor, but what's going on with those two pipes on the sides? Are you going to add emitters to those? They look like cooling pipes from where internal combustion's smoke comes out.

As a suggestion about realism, I'd try to punch some holes on the barrels; they look like tubes, not cilinders, but it's just an opinion.
