It's difficult to combine this sort of game with humor, but it's done well. Actually, the humor still allows for a very touching game. If you look deeper it feels like a lesson, imo.

Very much the best city/rpg type game I've played. Dwarf Fortress is easily superior in the huge depth.. but Towns is simply easier and more gratifying with the simpler things.

I hope Towns does develop to allow more projects and such in the line of DF.. I can tell that the developers will make a game all their own. The tutorials were a great addition. I can only imagine how much deeper this game can get. I am very excited.

Simply an amazing game that captures the essence of any hopeless survival situation. And this dev team is going strong. Bulldozing through all the real life obstacles they faced. I can tell that they not only love the lore of zombies and what happens after.. they also know how to put the feeling of hope and hopelessness into a game.

The survival aspect is a bit too hopeless, as this is alpha, I am not factoring this into the review. There is plenty of food around but it's clear you can't last forever even if you play perfectly. I realize that is the point... however in the alpha it's definitly not the way they mean to have it in it's final stage. Hopefully there will be a relatively sustainable way to get food and ammo in the future.

My biggest compliment for the game in alpha stage is the zombies. Sometimes there are only a couple, but then you turn the corner and a veritable undead army is in front of you. But they act like what I would think a zombie would act like. They either ignore you or come pouring at you.

My main complaints are unfair for an alpha stage game. Considering it already has so much satisfaction within. I have heard of their plans and they are very exciting. Seeing the outbreak unfold will definitely be a high point for me when they get to that point in development.

I do not regret spending the money, even if the devs were to walk away from the project right now. I am glad they are sticking with it, no matter what stuff happens. I commend the team and hope the best for them. They deserve a lot of money and happiness for this project.
