I loved the voxel look of voxel doom but it felt limp without the brutal weapons. Now it's nearly perfect!

What's not to love, a full-sized expansion to Thief Gold made by some of the best mission authors in the Thief community. Who knew 2023 would bring another T2X moment!

When I looked at the screens for this mod, I was completely turned-off by the garish colors, bland lighting, and simple geometry.

I could forgive the last one as the Doom 2 in Doom 3 mod was also pretty simple from a geometry perspective but was still fun to play.

Fast forward a few years and curiosity drove me to test this out.

What a fool I was for missing out on this grand Doom experience!

The fast paced action, the metal sound track, the old Doom feel. The visuals don't look to great in screen-shot form but playing the game gives you a shockingly instant conduit to the original Doom game via memory association. You feel like you have somehow opened a modded Doom WAD collection rather than playing Doom 3.

My only suggestion. More Gore!

A monumental comprehensive fix pack for the the last Thief title with LGS involvement. Widescreen fixes, CPU threading fixes, tweaked movement, this makes Thief 3 properly playable on a modern PC and it keeps improving.

Add the Thief 3 Gold beta patch from the "fat edition" and you are verging on the holy grail of a reborn Thief 3 experience.

(Full disclose: I help promote The Dark Mod which is a sort of a rival to this project, I still think this is damned cool work. Tough competition. :) )

Gives Doom 3 a pair of balls.

I add the glprogs folder from the Ruiner Mod for extra bling but otherwise this is how Doom 3 should've felt to play. Powerful weapons and lots of extra gore effects. No wimpy cap-guns.

Over the years shader developers have tried various methods to enhance Doom 3's appearance but almost nothing is as effective as upgrading the texture quality. When added with a good Shader mod like Sikkmod this work upgrades the visuals to contemporary (or better) standards. Outstanding work Wulfen!
