The Last Days (of The Third Age of Middle Earth)

Mod review

I've decided to remake my TLD review since the mod has had many updates since my last review and it's been 5 years since I first discovered this masterpiece. I can easily say its one of my favorite mods of all time and my favorite mount and blade mod ever. To start off it's visuals and art style is based more on the books which as someone who's read all of the books is very unique and pleasing to me. The soundtrack is fantastic with beautiful scores like the main menu theme and the elven factions, can't forget the dark and heavy tracks as well like mordor and dunland but those are just my personal favorites, the soundtrack as a whole is great. Each faction has unique strengths, weaknesses, troops, and rewards that make you have to plan each battle accordingly to a certain degree. One battle i'll wipe a caravan with barely any losses, next thing you know i'm up against an elven patrol and my army gets WIPED. The map is very well made and each region has unique battlefields to fight in and the city scenes are stunning. The mod also has working trolls, wolves, wargs, bears, spiders, and I believe even a werewolf! All of them can deal some damage and be really helpful on the battlefield...or a pain in the *** to kill. The weapons, armor, and overall all the items and textures are very well made. This mod without a doubt took years of passion and work, there will never be another mod like The Last Days Of The Third Age. If the devs are reading this thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication into this amazing mod. If you're reading this and haven't played the mod yet...what are you doing???? PLAY THIS NOW!!!!

Blood in The West

Mod review

Well the most recent version is surely an improvement to 1.4. It still is a buggy mess with an inaccurate map, missing factions, laughable looking characters, and things that don't fit the lore one bit. But i'm not going to just insult this mod since there is plenty of unique improvements from 1.4. They added amazing looking scenes for places like Minas Tirth and the Black Gate, from what i've played crashing during battle and sieges isn't happening anymore, and they fixed a handful of bugs from the last version. It still needs loads of work done but I guess its a little fun to play at times. I wish Ivanhoe the best of luck in finishing this mod one day.

Third Age - Total War

Mod review

Fantastic mod. A little bit of a pain to install but worth the wait. The Third Age team did a brilliant job on the settlements and troops. Maps can be a little strange with the camera angles but still no major trouble.
