Fighters/bombers wipe out smacs and the Anchor can be sniped when the smacs are dust.

The unsc is not free to put all fleets on the offensive, those smacs are made of glass and require constant support from a fleet.

The only UNSC vessel to ever match a super mac is the Infinity. That ship is a 5,6 km brute with forerunner tech and cost over half the UNSCs budget. It proves once and for all why flying smacs is not a common theme in Halo.

The Infinity has forerunner components with unknown power generation capabilities. Also a orbital smac and a shipborne mac are two different categories of macs, read m468s reply. Finally Imfinity is a one of a kind prototype, smacs have been around a lot longer and as such were designed with older tech. The tech Infinity boasts is just not comparable to the rest of tje UNSC arsenal.
