Sorry for the late reply
First thank you for the suggestions
No extension of the map is in our plans, We r working now two invasions Pyrrhus and Cleonymus (Spartan king), the Gauls scripts and units r future plans.
We will also add
*Character specialzasion
*Sub Factions and Civil War
*Tribal races
Credits for this three to Col.KanKrusha
Many fixes, sounds, units, etc
We r trying hard to, like you say, to give life to this mod.
Again thank you.
This is youe solution !
You could try to edit it directly in the "cfgPItalica2.cfg" file in the "PItalica2" folder. (Use WordPad or NotePad, not the standard Windows Editor for the edit).
This is what you need to edit:
[video]
show_banners = 0
widescreen = 1
windowed = true
borderless_window = true
campaign_resolution = 1920 1080
battle_resolution = 1920 1080
movies = false
change where it says windowed = true and change it to windowed = false"
Thank you for the 1000 Downloads
The incursio Pyrrhi patch its under development but we will have a short realese!
The incursio Pyrrhi patch is something like that! It will add the Pyrrhus as character, and he will make the invasion on Italy, but the map will remain the same.
No the incursio Pyrrhi patch is under dev. soon more previews.
Thank you for the preview team!!

If this is not your resolution (1920 1080),change the numbers above to your resolution
PS If you want to have all the mod, DL the patch to.
hi !
If you want to change them edit the battle_models.modeldb file
and place to the posision of the new spartans the old model and textures.
Maybe we sould add a version with the defences lower, to make the battles quicker...:)
I dont understand but if you mean in windowed mod
Try this
"If you go to the mod's configuration file, edit it with notepad and go to the bit that says:
[video]
show_banners = 0
widescreen = 1
windowed = true
borderless_window = true
campaign_resolution = 1920 1080
battle_resolution = 1920 1080
movies = false
change where it says windowed = true and change it to windowed = false"
If its the resolution change change the numbers above to your resolution
One word only Fantastic job team. Bravo!!!!
Thank you. I was wondering for siege weapons to, maybe we will add some, but i dont know for sure now.
Its ok if you dont found it.
Look at the preferences and it must look like this
[misc]
rebuild_geography_db = true
If not working from the shortcut?
if this is the problem look to the comments
You mean this installation instructions
- Download the mod + patch
- Run the installer and install the mod into "Medieval II Total War" folder. Then put in the patch.
- Delete : Medieval II Total War\mods\PItalica2\data\world\maps\base\map.rwm
and Medieval II Total War\mods\PItalica2\data\descr_geography_new.txt
- Launch the mod with the shortcut that the installer has created automatically on your desktop.
This patch corrects many problems.
The set Launch Options (in the window that opened) and write in the text box which appears:
@mods\PItalica2\cfgPItalica2.cfg
The only thing that you need tou edit is the windowed = true and change it to windowed = false
DL the morfeasnikos patch it solves many errors from 0.97 version
Have you DL the morfeasnikos patch?
After you install it,
delete the map.rwm in data/world/maps/base folder (or somewhere there :)
Launch the installation by double-clicking on the executable, et be sure to target your « Medieval II Total War » folder.
try this
"If you go to the mod's configuration file, edit it with notepad and go to the bit that says:
[video]
show_banners = 0
widescreen = 1
windowed = true
borderless_window = true
campaign_resolution = 1600 900
battle_resolution = 1600 900
movies = false
change where it says windowed = true and change it to windowed = false
worked for me :)"
We had a similar problem at TWC so:
Is there installed where the sortcut says?
If not set there corect destination.
if it´s still not running you can first:
delete the map.rwm in data/world/maps/base folder (or somewhere there)
or second:
open the .batch file in mods\PItalica2 via wordpad and check the path. if it´s correct save and doubleclick on the .batch file
try this
"If you go to the mod's configuration file, edit it with notepad and go to the bit that says:
[video]
show_banners = 0
widescreen = 1
windowed = true
borderless_window = true
campaign_resolution = 1600 900
battle_resolution = 1600 900
movies = false
change where it says windowed = true and change it to windowed = false
worked for me ;)"
