Edit your preferences.txt files, and change the line regarding widescreen from "false" to "true". Can't tell you the exact line, for I don't have the game under my eyes right now.

Hi, i have a question about the directory you have to install the mod in.
Do i have to just instaal it in my medieval 2 directory or in themedieval 2/mods directory?

Launch the installation by double-clicking on the executable, et be sure to target your « Medieval II Total War » folder.

try this
"If you go to the mod's configuration file, edit it with notepad and go to the bit that says:

[video]
show_banners = 0
widescreen = 1
windowed = true
borderless_window = true
campaign_resolution = 1600 900
battle_resolution = 1600 900
movies = false

change where it says windowed = true and change it to windowed = false

worked for me :)"

My launcher for M2:TW no longer works and I use Steam. I have to set launch options for every M2 mod I use so can you find out what I would need to set the launch option as in order to play?

The set Launch Options (in the window that opened) and write in the text box which appears:
@mods\PItalica2\cfgPItalica2.cfg
The only thing that you need tou edit is the windowed = true and change it to windowed = false
DL the morfeasnikos patch it solves many errors from 0.97 version

Thank you for the quick reply.

The new launch option worked so thank you for that. However, for some reason I am unable to find not only the preferences.cfg, I cannot find it for my entire Medieval 2. For the mod I assume it's under the preferences file but the only files in there are: Advice; Keys; and Player. Player is the only .txt file but it is empty. Advice?

Nevermind I found my issue. It was, as you said cfgPItalica2.cfg, it just did not show up in my search until I only searched .cfg. But thanks again for your support!

EASY LAUNCH FIX for 'cannot find kingdoms exe' (or any error like that).

In your medieval II mods file rename ONE of the kingdoms expansions you dont play to something else e.g. americas to 'americasACTUAL'

Rename the penisuala italica downloaded file you installed/copied and pasted into the mods folder 'americas' so it appears exactly the same as the original americas did.

Now launch steam and go to medieval II, play and launch americas. It will now launch penisuala italica II instead of the americas expansion.

If you want to play the americas expansion again (or any of the other expansions you have renamed) simply change the file names back to as they were.

Hope this helps.

If you follow the installation instructions, you will have to uninstall the whole game, all your mods, then install the whole game again, then install this mod the most logical way, because following the instructions overwrites the mod over the original game!!!!

HERE IS THE MAIN PROBLEM:

In the installation instructions you said: "be sure to target your « Medieval II Total War » folder."

IF you do that, the mod will overwrite the original game files. Don't do it!! why do you say that in the installation instructions?

You have to target this: "main Medieval II Total War folder/mods/PItalica2"

omg.... i had to uninstall the whole game with all patches and windows10 fixes :( omg.... what a disaster.

Why you guys have to provide a .exe to install a mod? why not to upload a .rar file with the mod folder and that's it?

Thank you for the mod anyways, but next time make sure the installation instructions are right. Or at least do it by .rar file instead of .exe, we don't trust .exe for security reasons anyways.
