NOTE: If anyone needs a writer for their Amnesia CS, or just someone to proofread what they have, let me know and I'd be happy to help for free. There's nothing worse than having a quality custom story with bad writing or a bunch of grammar/sentence structure mistakes - it pulls the player out of the experience! I'm willing to help in any way that I can. The only thing I won't do is develop maps/levels. My old laptop can't handle it and I simply don't have the time. However, if you'd like to send me screenshots of maps/rooms you're working on for critique, I'd be happy to give my input and suggestions. :) Otherwise, I'm literally just here to download Amnesia custom stories lol. I've played almost every CS out there, so I'm looking forward to new mods that get uploaded. <3

Thanks for the quick response! I have a laptop with an Intel Core i7 Processor and Nvidia GEForce, running Windows 10. Drivers are up to date, and everything in my Amnesia settings are set to low. Hope that helps!

Hi there! Loving the mod so far, but I've run into a bug. The game keeps crashing after I click on the door leading out of the mayor's house in the beginning of Chapter 2: Rescue. It just says that the game has stopped working. Not sure if anyone else has had this issue or if there's already a fix for it, but just thought I'd let you know.

Thanks! The 32-bit launcher actually worked for some reason, even tho I have 64-bit? Probably some weird Windows 10 thing. Much appreciated! :)

Hello! :) I'm very interested in playing this mod, but it's not launching for me. I have a 64-bit Windows 10 operating system, both Steam and Amnesia are updated, the Destiny Revenant file is in the root folder, and when I click on the launcher (the icon is just that blank piece of paper when there's no file type specified) it gives me this message:

"D:/Amnesia 02 (1.3)/Amnesia - The Dark Descent/Destiny Revenant/Contra_File.Hpl.exe The specified path does not exist."

Would you happen to have a solution for this, or is there something else I need to do? Thank you in advance!

Hi there! I installed the drill combination patch and started over on trial 1, but it's still not combining (didn't even touch the drill parts until I had all three.) All I did was replace the Lights, Maps, and Static Objects files with the new ones - no result. :( Did I need to replace .DS_store file as well, or was that for the maze bug? I'd love to keep playing this wonderful mod as long as I can get past the drill bit problem. Thank you!

I'm having the same problem as everyone else: don't know how to get through either door in the living room area or down the long hallway. I've searched high and low for keys, secret switches, alternate routes, etc. Perhaps a hint, please? :)

Hello! :) I've been looking forward to this game immensely, but it seems to crash after I press Start? Here's the error I'm getting:

FATAL ERROR: Could not load script file 'Necrologue_eng/maps/00_prologue.hps'!

I saw that someone else had this same message pop up too, and you had released a patch for it. I downloaded the patch, but it still gives me this error. I realize y'all are currently ironing out the kinks in this CS, so for now I shall await future fixes.

Hi again! Thanks for the hint earlier as well as the fix. I just wanted to say that I finished the CS - loved it! Probably one of the most interesting custom stories I've played in a long time. :) Atmosphere, voice acting, and originality were all top notch. It's so cool how you made the skull an integral part of the gameplay to keep from going insane and running into monsters. I haven't seen any other CS experiment with something like that.

Keep up the good work, man! Hope to see more from you soon. :)

Hi! I'm a bit stuck. I've given the monster three pigs so far: the one from the kitchen, the one from the ceiling, and the one from the alter. I'm guessing the next one is maybe buried in that mushroom garden since there's a spot for Boney, but I don't know what to do here? I've looked around and tried using the shovels - nothing. :\ And then I went and double checked all the other areas just in case I missed anything. There's still a locked door in that kitchen hallway by the wine room. Do I need to get that open somehow? A hint would be most helpful. Thank you!

Hello! I seem to be having the same problem as marius167. I start outside, and when I eventually get to the door, the game quits and this message pops up: "FATAL ERROR: Could not load world file 'custom_stories/Followed By Death Chapter One/maps/I:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/common/amnesia the dark descent/custom_stories/examplestory/maps/01_aztec.map'". I looked in the maps folder of this CS and saw that there wasn't a file called "01_aztec.map", just like the message says. Is there a fix for this (or a newer version of this story that I've missed)? Thank you!

Thank you! :) Unfortunately I seem to be stuck in another part. I try to figure these things out for myself, but this one's leaving me empty-handed.

I'm in the machinery room to power the lift, and I have the levers exactly as it says in the note, but it still doesn't work. I've even tried rearranging the lever order, but nothing happens. It says there's no electricity, and I've searched all over the mines for a clue or object I've missed. Is there another area where I do something in order for the machinery to activate?

Hello! I'm really enjoying the CS so far, but I'm afraid I got stuck in the Dark Mines. I'm in the office at the moment and here's what I've done: pulled out all three books, pulled the lever, went into the room w/ that pedestal in the corner, pulled the lever in there, and then nothing happened - it simply closed the door to the room I'm in. The other door in the first room remains locked, and I don't know what to do with the pedestal. Am I missing something? (I only have the hammer in my inventory.) Thank you!

HI there! Great CS so far. I've really enjoyed the build up from 'calm exploration of ancient ruins' to 'oh man there's some evil **** gong on down here'. Interesting map, no cheesy jump scares, and a well written background for the location and history of this place.

I will admit that some of the items are a little too difficult to find due to poor hints or not hints at all, which is why I'm glad there's a few walkthroughs on youtube already. However, none of them are finished, and now I'm stuck at a part in the Old Archives. I've found two buttons, but I can't find the third one (which I assumed is on the lowest level since I've found the others on the top and middle sections). It's way too dark for me to do a thorough search through all those book shelves and nooks and crannies. Perhaps a hint?

In the future, I suggest creating a full written or video walkthrough of your story so people don't have to wait for an answer to a question (and possibly end up forgetting about the CS entirely), or have to look up Let's Plays to figure out what to do next. Other than that, I'm really glad I found this CS. It's been highly entertaining thus far. :)
