I find a major problem when making cliffs or similar for half life is you usually have to make the brushes eventually line up with a sky brush, it makes it very hard to make the terrain remain interresting, but moving the vertices of the terrain further out or in, further up or down, can hide this somewhat.

There are many source-dev-like textures made for half-life as well. For instance some were made for Nightwatch and are included in the popular nightwatch wad, they don't look like these though.

Looks really nice, kinda busy with all the elements up at once, but still. It's really nice to see a HUD that's not excessively modern and minimal (AssCreed) or one that has unnecessary objects everywhere (loads of games) this just seems to cover what should be covered and does it nicely!

Are you using some kind of texture here? THe surfaces don't look pure white but rather as if they were made from "something" Like an undesignated material that seems "Oh I guess that's about right" I really like it.

It states on the website that these are "Form over Function" guns, and are mostly given to high grade officers as a trophy, they are powerfull and inaccurate and look super awesome, the ultimate officer gun.
I grew up on Total Annihilation and that camera tilt was kinda 1,5 degrees tilted, so this doesn't hurt me much, I think it's awesome with straight top down, to be honest.
Well, hmm, he looks a bit protagonistic. So it actually could be the player, although you never see him in HoE, they maybe included him in this new version.
The shadowed mapping for the legs shouldnt be that soft.. I think it's easier to do this through normalmapping, but It looks a bit strange with those smudgy curves on the pants.. I would say you have high specularity/cubemap on the metal parts and some weak cubemapping at the boots!
