I have done every step except LAA, but even so, the game doesn't crash, it doesn't even attempt to load the mod up, it just loads vanilla.

The issue is over, Gamespy servers are back up. You won't be seeing any crashes anytime soon now.

Happening to everybody. Listen, Disable internet, then start the game, then enable it, you'll be able to play.
