Bit of a conundrum here - I can get nearly every mod to run that I try, except Empire at War RE. I have a disc copy of Empire at War Gold, which runs Corporate Addon Mod, Imperial Civil War, and others with no perceived difficulty (at least in Skirmish, I don't generally play much GC). However for some reason, despite following all of the listed instructions (outside of buying the game again from GOG) I can't get Re to run. I try to start it up, get the splash screen, and then it CTD's before it even reaches the main menu.
Anyone have any ideas of something I can try to get it to work? I'm running an old Dell with Windows 7 on it that I've been slowly upgrading over the past 5 years, if that helps.

Hey all, I'm having a bit of an issue with this mod - whenever I start it up, it immediately crashes brings up an error window titled "Exception" and directs me to read what happened on a pair of text files (_logfile.txt and _except.txt, neither of which I've been able to find so far). I haven't had this issue with any other mods, and was really looking forward to trying this one.

Figured I ought to mention, I downloaded v5.2 for Forces of Corruption, which I do have, and installed it into my mods folder. I tried using both the provided shortcut and the ModLauncher, with the same result. Does anybody have an idea of what I did wrong?

According to the long black scroll of white text now hidden behind a "Read More" button on the main page - yes! The Chengdao dynasty, representing China and probably some Korean elements, the Odawari Shogunate representing a modernizing Japan, and the Jinsisu Daimyo representing old-school Japan.

Actually, the Dreyse Needle Guns ARE technically bolt action rifles, but they are not bolt-action *repeating* rifles as they have no magazine of any kind for carrying ammunition within the rifle. Also, there were other single-shot bolt-actions developed in this time period (like the Chassepot of 1866 and the Gras that was derived from it in 1874) which were NOT needle guns. So, yeah! :D
