I have an idea for an Amnesia Custom Story, if anyone is interested, just message me and I will tell you the idea, free of charge, however I would request one thing;that may name be listed among the first in the credits as the person who created the story. I will accept anyone who has made one or more custom stories with a rating of 70% or more, I will also, however, be checking the Custom Story myself for four things:Good level design, good grammar, a good story and professionalism. If, by any chance, anyone is interested as to why I want someone to make the Custom Story, it is because I am not skilled at level design. -=-=- The year is 1856, you play as the wealthy industrialist Charles Stapleton. You lived a happy life, with a grand estate, a wife and a child. You had it all, until you didn’t… -=-=-

This game was incredible, remarkable, I would in-fact say. The game started out as many custom stories, you're in a cell. But it was a lot more sophisticated than that after the escaping of said cell, with the puzzles in the Torture Chamber, etc. As the game progressed, so did the story, and it felt like a truly good story created by a team of professionals; not the four or five people mentioned in the credits.

I began to enjoy the game more towards the Castle area, it was really fun to play. The puzzles were standard, the scares however were really good and the level design was incredible! And then as I progressed more, read the notes such as the one about the priest, I noticed how much thought and care went into the making of this game.
My favourite part, was however, in the chapel with the priest that was talked about in a previously found note. It was an amazing, and unique idea. Sort of like a boss fight in Amnesia. And it terrified me, I don't think a custom story has ever made me that scared before!
And then the ending, the ending which would make Alfred Hitchcock proud. You were insane, it was all part of your insanity, it never happened. And the suitor you managed to trap, was just a regular person, now dead thanks to your brain's irregularities.
I would have preferred an ending which didn't mean hanging, but nevertheless, overall this custom story was absolutely amazing.
I would give this custom story a solid 9/10. For the story, level-design, grammar (Trust me its a big deal for me, seeing as about 80%+ of the custom stories have terrible grammar), the plot twist, the terror this game puts into you, and just about everything.
I hardly dislike anything in this custom story, perhaps if it was a bit longer, but besides that I like pretty much everything in this custom story, and especially considering the small amount of people that made this.

My over-all impression was that the story was incredible, especially towards the end of the game, it was definitely one of my favourite custom stories, if not, my favourite, which is why I am giving this a remarkable 9/10.
This map is not well made. The Level design and lack of explanation are features I do not much care for. This is scary at times, however some of the 'scares' didn't scare me because when you use scare after scare you get used to the scares and they don't scare you anymore. I would also like to note that the guy that teleported in front of me made me jump but didn't scare me. Anyone can make a jump scare like the ones seen in FNAF but a good environmental/atmospheric scare is much scarier because it plays with your mind. Another thing I do not like is the shortness of the custom story it only lasts about 7 minutes maximum. Also when the main character was on about not sleeping for 20 something nights, he would be dead by now.
However I do like the idea and concept of the constant nightmares. I think this could have been a great custom story and still can be if you bare in mind what I said.
So for those reasons I'm giving this Custom Story a 3.
P.S. I am not a 'Hater' this is constructive criticism.
This is a remarkable Custom Story. It features an interesting storyline with Custom Monsters and Items. It has lots of puzzles to add to the mix to make it worthwhile playing, the puzzles gradually get harder, better and more interesting. Although some of the Voice Acting has much to be desired and there are one or two glitches with overlapping and some spelling/grammatical errors this is an almost perfect Custom Story and get's a 9/10 from me. Good Job. :)
