This has been asked in the discord many a time, the general answer is just... Soon. So don't be expecting anything to drop before Battle for Azeroth does.

I have a question. Let's say in my game I play a mage who becomes a necromancer. As time goes on the whole plague in Lordaeron happens and naturally I'm a servant of the Lich King which I assume makes me his vassal or in some way bound to his will. Time goes on, I become a lich myself and then break away from the Lich Kings will, would it then be possible to raise a rival Scourge with everyone having total loyalty to my character or would they be a free willed Forsaken style faction?
(If you couldn't tell I'm very looking forward to the necromantic side of this incredible mod.)
The truth of the matter is that they are canon, end of subject.
If we're really complaining about realism, even at its best Game of Thrones hasn't been a perfect example of realism, for example the infamous teleportation that Varys seems to get up to. To put it simply until we are told exactly how many men the Forresters can even muster we have to assume artistic licence in the fact that we just don't know enough about them to say what they do and do not have. The point still stands though that saying they should not be in there because they are an obscure bit of canon and having a go at the developers instead of doing a quick Google search isn't exactly the most productive way of getting things done.
A quote about the Second Battle of Deepwood Mott "In the novels, the liberation of Deepwood Motte is the one time so far that House Forrester has been mentioned in the main narrative - a minor House who serve as vassals to House Glover, who are the main characters in the tie-in video game Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series. After Deepwood Motte is liberated, Lady Sybelle Glover provides Stannis with guides and "hunters sworn to Deepwood with clan names like Forrester and Woods, Branch and Bole."" So it's equally apt to call them House or Clan depending on who you're asking and either way both times they are able to raise enough men to be able to fight with the Glovers and entirely canon.
I quote here from the Wiki of Ice and Fire here "[In Dance of Dragons] Lady Sybelle Glover provides scouts from House Forrester to Stannis Baratheon for his march on Winterfell through the wolfswood.[1] Asha Greyjoy thinks of the Forresters as a clan." So what do you know? It's almost as if they are actually in the books, what a surprise this is.
Well its 40k, not fantasy so it's certainly different.
I was delighted that this and WTW came out at roughly the same time, so naturally I thought I'd play a bit of this and then I'd play only WTW.
Boy am I glad this exists because WTW has some major graphical issues on my laptop, this is more than enough Warhammer for me, plus it looks surprisingly good too. All-round this is a fantastic mod and personally I can't wait to see what comes out next from the team.
Do you ever see it possible for the White Walkers to be a faction? Or is the games coding just too restrictive to allow something like that to be able to happen?
At this rate I want to compare this to going to Games Workshop and playing a tabletop game. You have two tables, on one is the really happy and laughy group, with their sometimes a little bit sloppily painted models but nobody really minds too much because they're enjoying their game. On the other table you have the 'professionals' with their highly detailed models and all playing very strictly to the rules with very little room for just having a laugh and god help you if you dare pick up one of their models because they're expensive and if you want to have something like theirs you had better pay top dollar.
What I'm saying is this might not look as pretty as W:TW, but I'm certainly more excited for it.
Wonderful! You have no idea how glad I am to be able to finally be the one true Dark Lord.
I only have one question really. When playing the Middle Earth Project, if you rewind the clock far enough back to play as Sauron then (Because your culture was Maia) your provinces would change from 'Orc' to 'Maia' culture and you would be utterly unable to recruit any troops. Will this annoying feature be removed? Its always upsetting having the chance to play as the Dark Lord but having to settle for being an Orc.
What I mean is its more likely than not to be out before the end of the month?
But as an estimate we can probably expect it before the end of the month at the current rate right?
Hello everyone. I am the now former writer for this project, I am writing this as an announcement of my departure from the team due to a personal disagreement between myself and the ethics of the team leader, namely of the issue of comments he did not like being censured rather heavily.
Thank you, and have a good day.
Yes actually, right now we're just at the beginning of the project so that's all on the back burner until we get the text and coding done.
Hello everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and explain some things with whats going on behind the scenes (Mostly because I don't like it when people are down right bullying someone as they're trying to work.)
So I'm the new writer for the project, which as of right now all the major text and story stuff should be coming from me, so if you don't like the story at any part feel free to grab your pitchforks and torches.
Right now the project is only very early on in development, I can't give away many details (Because I'm not sure what I can give away) but I can assure you the team is working hard and moving through the project as quickly as we can. Right now we are in the process of coding and the like, which is the reason we don't have a great deal of models of our own design. None of the team are dedicated riggers and although there is some experience with 3D models we are lacking a dedicated member of team to work on this, which is going to slow things down for a bit. Though any help there would be greatly appreciated.
If anyone has any questions or complaints, please direct them to me and I'll be more than happy to answer them as appropriately as they deserve. Thank you.
Quick question, how long is the time scale going to be? I know the Elder Scrolls mod has 1,700 years which is more than ample time, so are we likely to see that length or be even luckier and get 2000+ years, who knows? We may end up fighting hundreds of years of the same Blight! War never ending!
Is the campaign a recreation of the original or an original story?
