The mod is pretty cool; great upgraded visuals and expansions of the space.

However, I have a huge gripe with how movement and speed was handled. Sure, larger ships should be sluggish but good lord, waiting entire minutes for a ship to just spin is ridiculously slow. Plus, they take extremely exaggerated routes just for small movements. Hell, the Millennium Falcon is so slow that it can't keep up with fighters. Might be something worth tweaking a bit.

Also, the Trump speech for the Sith Interdictor kind of kills the immersion.

Oh please, the mod is virtually dead. How long could it possibly take for an old game that they're pretty well familiar with at this point? Let's put this in perspective, for someone who's been a long time fan.

I first heard about Republic at War after playing the hell out of z3r0x's 3.5 addon in middle school, grade 7. This finally came out by the time I graduated high school, 5 years later. Now, ANOTHER 5 years later, I've graduated college and am already a year into my career. And all this time, I've been faithfully checking in every so often to see what's up.

That's 10 years. You've got people pumping out complex mods for new games like it's nobody's business.

Downvote this all you want, but holy crap, it's taking absurdly long. The website is down. And just what are these posted "updates"? Honestly. A couple of words and a new screenshot.

There's being patient, and then there's this. Half-Life 3 is gonna come out before 1.2 (hopefully the devs see this and take that as a challenge to finish up). I'm sure some of you can understand the frustration, given EAW is the only real good RTS SW game currently still out.

Any hint, any hint at all about the current progress? Sorry if it's posted somewhere in the comments, but that's a lot of pages of comments. I've been waiting for 1.2 since before college... Now 5 years later, a degree and a year into my career I still check in every once in a blue moon. Just curious.

There's patience, and then there's dragging your feet on a mod that's already largely constructed. You have people pumping out Skyrim and Fallout mods in barely any time. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if each respective member of the crew has completed all their parts, and the last guy just keeps putting if off saying "Ehh, I'll upload it tomorrow, I'm hungry now."

Yeah. Enough with downvoting restless comments. The INTERIM update was over 2 years ago. I remember playing in middle school and hearing about the RaW coming eventually. It took until the end of high school for that. Now I've graduated college, and 1.2 isn't even out yet.

Been following this mod since I before college. Now I just graduated, commissioned, and hit my first Fort assignment at the end of the month. Was really hoping this comes out before then; starting to seem like it won't happen.

Just curious, is 1.2 going to incorporate that "different heights for same-class ships" that I see in some screenshots? It's probably been covered somewhere, but there's 4582 pages of comments.

This (v1.0) came out two-three months before I started college...

I'm set to graduate and commission in just one more semester, which is just a month shy of four years later. Mother of God, please let v1.2 come soon! I'm running out of time for awesomeness!

Is it possible for the modding team to include some special space maps for fun battles in which there are a LOT of asteroid mines that can be used? I'd love to have a monstrous battles staged, but the fact that we only get vanilla maps kind of limit that.

Or, does anyone know where I can find some good custom space maps that can fill such a request? Thanks very much! :)

Killer, Venators appeared to be a lot bigger than other cruisers in V 1.1. Everything appears to be a lot smaller, particularly in space. Did you guys change the camera at all?

Proof the Venator is too small: A Munificient-class frigate is 825m long. The Venator says it is some odd 1100m long. Yet in game, the Venator is actually slightly SMALLER than the Munificient. Also, when building a Venator... "FRIGATE READY SIR!" Come on, where's my capital ship?! The original scaling was much better, for everything.

Those Techno Union Frigates with Thrawn's fire ability or whatever it is... Need that ability removed. It's absurdly overpowered for a frigate.

Also, anyway to put the scaling for ships back to what they used to be? Fighter size is fine, but using Venators for example, well, they just don't feel like a capital ship anymore when an Acclamator is half its size.

Well then Jesus, they've got enough consolidation going on to muster a fleet for... Let me think.. Eriadu, Atzerri, Thyferra, Antar, and Dathomir all at the same time (bout 20 Frigates per, some with capital ships).

Just realized, having multiple "death" animations for starships would be great. Like with the Venator, if you see in the opening cinematic it falls nose-down, and there's another that loses it's control of direction and starts sliding and spinning while on fire.

Of course, not demanding anything, but just a thought that came to mind.

As have I, but several years is a long time. I've gone through middle school and I'm now halfway through college. Yes, I think they should take their time to get everything resolved, but I'd like to enjoy a few more of my favorite, magnificent games and mods (such as this) before I graduate and commission and have no time for it.

HAH! I remember waiting for this mod to come out after playing FoC Addon 3.5 shortly after the game came out. And because it stayed in the back of my mind, I remember to keep on checking.

Anyway, probably sometime late this year. They had a first date of H1 2012 (meaning before July) but that didn't work out. So just sit tight for now.
