It's intended that Sauron doesn't dies but I guess he means the AI and the auto attack behaviour from own soldiers. They still attack Sauron when he has 0 health instead of other enemys. And I think thats a bug

Would really like to know this, too. Especially number 2. Also when I build a farm, barrack or smith in WOTR, is it available during battle?

it think that there isn't a solution for this CTD because some mods doesn't support custom battles and especially custom battles with a fortification or a citadel for example (Third Age Total War for example). in the most mods you can just play custom battles without any cities. hope that helped you ;)

sorry but we have decided that we won't change the factions anymore. so greece will belong to the Ottoman and I think Finnland will be conquered by the Kalmarer Union after a certain time ingame.

yes there will be cho-ku-noo for china and samurais for japan and we are working very hard on this mod ;)

every faction will get his own units, skins and buildings! :-)

the team and me are from germany but we will also release a english version if we get help for the english translation ;)

we might change the regions and their sizes but we can't add new regions without deleting the old ones because we have reached the limit of 200 regions ;-)

that would be the best in my opinion.
beside this... can you offer a version of this mod in which you are only changing the graphics, models and all these things but no change in gameplay? that would be great but if not i would still give this mod a try ;-)
