Unpopular opinion: doom (2016) is a terrible game.
This concept is really funny, actually. It reminds me of a classic videogame villain.
This is looking quite a bit better! The headcrab looks quite a bit different already, however I suggest that you do a bit more to the overall "texture" of the headcrab's skin. It might look better to paint on some kind of hair.
This... is stupid.
Hm, the wall textures you chose clash a lot with the floor and ceiling textures.
It still requires Half-Life. To my knowledge there has never been a standalone mod that didn't go retail...? The game that is in development however, does not require Half-Life and it will be completely standalone.
It is prone to crashing a lot on the steam version. We only really tested the mod on the retail version of Half-Life.
Probably ModDB's fault then unfortunately.
So you just greyscaled the clothes on the normal barney zombie and passed it off as being worth the upload?
Might be ModDB's fault (because of the download system) or it also could be the program you're using to extract it. What are you using?
You might have to redownload it, sorry. Everyone else seems to have been able to extract it just fine.
I also see you're using some dreamcast assets which I dig. The can textures always looked pretty cool.
It was based on it.
This is neat! Those walls look a little plain though.
We tested the mod mostly on the 22.214.171.124 version of Half-Life before Steam, so try it on that version. I believe it'll work there.
That's a weird looking crate. I'd suggest burning the text into the side of the crate to make it look a bit more realistic, like it was actually painted onto the side and grooves.
Don't let the videos fool you. It's extremely slow paced and easy.
There's actually an "enhanced" version of vanilla Half-Life being actively developed by a former Sven Coop developer that has Opposing Force style ropes! You should check it out because ladders as ropes are really funky and weird in practice.
Those are some thick screens to cubicle-ize the office! I'd suggest thinning those things up.
The alpha is in my heart?
It's a piece of **** for starters.
You don't necessarily need to model anything onto the headcrab to make it different. Take this for example: I57.tinypic.com I simply retextured the normal HD headcrab model and the end result makes the headcrab look almost entirely different from it's base model.
I would suggest giving him an all-new body texture. It would give a bit more variety rather than a simple recolour.
This one doesn't appear to be just a simple recolour, but I think if you make it's tendril things brown, it needs a bit more places on it's body have a similar tone. It looks a little out of place.
I'd suggest changing his fatigues (clothes) entirely and giving him possibly a new vest. If he's supposed to be a guard that is guarding really high profile areas, I'd give him a lot more armor in many places. Some shoulderpads, kneepads, thighpads, etc.
Anti-aliasing? Wouldn't that do exactly the opposite?
There's an actual monster version of this available in the Half-Life SDK. I'd suggest using that instead of the player model version because it looks goofy as hell as a monster.
This skin is pretty bad... sorry. All you did was make his clothes grey, add some badly textured on sunglasses and change the logo on his vest.
Why did you recolour the cleansuits?
