Blog RSS Feed Report abuse January / February Blog Update!

0 comments by Joebama on Feb 7th, 2014

Hello peeps! My new Personal Computer that was built by myself is finally done so expect some top secret projects that I've had in mind to be not-so-secret very soon. I've been doing a lot of smaller side-projects over the past year when I did not have a proper computer to work with and now that I've got something good to work with, these projects will soon be able to be seen by the public eye. This is an exciting time for me and I plan on kicking it back into gear very soon for Particle Fusion and Overturn (as well as the aforementioned secret projects only known by a select few)!

In other news, Particle Fusion may be going under some major story and page overhauling soon, so keep your eyes peeled for when I update the ModDB page accordingly! And since I have gotten my hands on the actual Half-Life alpha, more concepts from it will be reincarnated into Particle Fusion, such as the Alien Grunt laboratories, and the older test chamber(s). Obviously, this is all map related though, so I guess this really doesn't apply to my previous statement, but what the hell, I'll tell you guys anyway because it's just so damn exciting to me.

Well, that's all for now folks.

I am posting words in a blog!

Edit: Got tired of seeing the same old screenshots on my profile, so I uploaded some new ones. Enjoy.

Report abuse April Blog Update

Well, my computer decided to kick the bucket on me about a month ago now, and I'm still trying to figure out what part was the one that went, but at least I think my hard drives are still good along with my power supply. Fun stuff. I planned on building a new computer from the ground up soon anyway, so I guess it's a blessing and a curse that it finally went.

In other news, I've been working on and off on Overturn lately and a super secret project that should be released soon. I just finished the remake of the original Pyrotechnician model from Overturn, and I've taken the liberty of posting a few screenshots that you can only see here, on my profile. (For the time being, that is.)

Bear in mind that these are not entirely final, and may be changed. Other than these guys, I've also been working on other odds and ends, like the Zombie Human Grunts and their leader, the Zombie Human Assault, as well as another undisclosed enemy. Particle Fusion is unfortunately somewhat at a stand-still for the moment seeming as how I don't have access to my code and all I have is a few .rmfs of maps (outdated, mind you.) Hopefully, I'll rack up enough cash to build my new computer and kickstart it back up soon!

That's enough for now I think.

Report abuse November Blog Update

Welcome all trackers of me and just random visitors!

I'd just like to update my blog post since it's been quite a long time since I have, so here goes. Overturn has gotten the ball rolling lately from a sudden burst of activity on Rafael, Gethyn, and I's part. We've been working almost tirelessly on the multiplayer portion of said modification hoping to ship out a mostly multiplayer demo by Christmas. We've got some upcoming media as well in store for you guys. Aside from Overturn, I've got some more map media coming up for Particle Fusion as well from a sudden burst of activity on my part which I will explain in my next paragraph. Expect some new media for Particle Fusion as soon as possible.

Well, the main reason why both of the modifications have been getting a burst of activity lately is because we've finally found a Half-Life programmer: Myself. Yes, you heard/read it. I've taken up programming in C++ for Half-Life so we can finally kickstart our projects into action for the next media update and hopefully for a faster release. So far, programming hasn't been too bad to me, though I've only been editing what's already there so, who knows what's in store for me later down the line. As for now, I think we may be able to ship out a demo for Overturn this year if I don't run into any obstacles. Keep your fingers crossed ladies and gentlemen!

Until my next blogpost (which will probably be a year from now),

Hey dudes, what's up? It's been awhile since I've made a blog since I've been busy being bored lately and not working on Particle Fusion when I should be. Oh wait, did I just say that? Oops.

In all seriousness though, I've begun working on both of Bloodbath's projects again after some new found motivation from the help of our new programmer, ash_link. He's come to our rescue as far as coding and given me some inspiration to work on stuff for awhile again. Let's give a hand to ash_link, eh?

Well, anyone who has read this, I thank you. Anyone who has not read this, I politely ask you to fuck off, thanks. Peace bros.

For some reason, ModDB has refused to work for me like it normally does for a while (Pictures refuse to load, extremely long page loading times, etc.) Might be my shite ISP or possibly my browser, I don't know. Anyway, what I'm getting at is don't expect any updates from me on ModDB for a while as long as this problem keeps up. Peace out everyone.

Edit: Just finished my Half-Life Alpha / Beta models pack thing, expect a release soon!

Report abuse "Absolute Zero" and Team Fortress 2: Brotherhood of Arms, etc.

I'm not sure what to say, but it's been awhile since I've updated. So, anyway, I was looking for a nice, clean torrent of Autodesk Max 4 but I ended up downloading a mistake torrent and fucked up my computer beyond measures (While technically, I got what I deserved for torrenting something that is normally bought, It is next to impossible to get a copy of Max 4 nowadays.), so right now I've been doing model hacks instead of my beloved hobby, mapping. So, that's why you've been seeing so many model/skin updates on Particle Fusion, but who cares, right?

Anyway, I've decided to work a little bit on "TF2: Brotherhood of Arms" as well, getting the player models ready for media and such. Been having a lot of fun working on it so far. So, as soon as we actually get some mapping and coding done on the mod, we'll probably set up a page for it. And also when Particle Fusion and Overturn are released, I have another mod in mind to work with, "Absolute Zero" (name is subject to change) set in a very cyberpunk/steampunk world in which robots are the dominant part of society, and the military has become an army of supersoldiers, robots with a human brain implemented into their bodies. Many people did not like this, however, and rebelled against the military's power. The "rebellion" went on to last for 10 agonizing years, the amount of rebels are growing as they have learned how to hack into the database of the supersoldiers to turn them on their side. You are part of the "Gamma" squad sent in to clear out an area of "The City" of rebel power. They have been in control for too long. It's time to teach them cheating bastards a lesson. Give them your opinion on hacking your buddies! Also the soundtrack will be composed by Hans Zimmer, kthx.

And that's all I've gotten so far. See you guys around.
